There was no small blind this hand, and Richard Menjura raised under the gun. Amir Dukic called all in from the button for 7,000, and Rebekah Emmons called from the big blind, creating a side pot.

Both players checked to the river on a board of KsJc2s6h2d, and all three players showed their cards.

Richard Menjura:  10c8c  (ten high)
Rebekah Emmons:  4h3c  (four high)
Amir Dukic:  AsQc  (ace high)

Dukic won the pot with his ace to nearly quadruple up to 27,000.

Dukic was surprised and excited that he survived this all in, saying, “The Comeback Kid is coming!”

Amir Dukic  –  27,000  (5 bb)

A short while later, Dukic moved all in from the cutoff for 16,000, and it folded to Aaron Mahlfeldt in the big blind, who thought for a bit before he also folded.

Dukic was in utter disbelief that nobody called his shove that was only about 2 1/2 big blinds.

“What? What? Why? Why?” said Dukic. Mahlfeldt pointed to his own stack, which was only about 44,000, to indicate that he was saving his chips for a better spot.

Dukic tossed his cards on the table for everyone to see — AsAc. But he nearly doubled his stack from 16K to 31K.

Amir Dukic  –  31,000  (5 bb)
Aaron Mahlfeldt  –  44,000  (7 bb)
