Matt Waxman, a WPT champion, busted a player shortly after play resumed, which is what catapulted him up among the chipleaders.

After a flop of 10s9d4s, Waxman bet 2,100 from the small blind, the UTG player moved all in for about 18,000, and a third player folded from middle position.

Waxman called with 10c8d for a pair of tens, and his opponent turned over QsJd for an open-ended straight draw with two overcards.

The turn was the Qh, giving her a higher pair of queens, but the 10d on the river gave Waxman trip tens to win the pot and eliminate his opponent.
