Action folded to Jeff Fogel (pictured) on the button and he announced all in, with a bigger stack than both players in the blinds. The player in the small blind folded, and after about 30 seconds the player in the big blind called all in for roughly 36,000 with 7c7d, racing with Fogel’s Ac10h.

The board came down AsQhQd9d5d, giving Fogel aces and queens to score the elimination.

Defending champion Evan Teitelbaum has been eliminated from the Fun in the Sun $560. Teitelbaum, who was in for a couple entries, recently hit the rail and has not been spotted back among the field. Registration and re-entry are available for about 45 more minutes, but with the blinds climbing, the 20,000-chip starting stack is only getting shallower.

After a slow start, registration picked up and the clock shows 74 entries in on the action early in Level 4. The strong push has all but assured the tournament will top its $50,000 guarantee.

The premier event of the 2016 Fun in the Sun Poker Open is off and running. Cards went in the air just moments ago for the $560 buy-in, $50,000 guarantee. Last year’s finale saw a field of 177 entries take to the felt with local Evan Teitelbaum claiming the tournament’s top prize of $19,888.

Players in this year’s installment take their seats to 20,000 chips and are primed to log 20- and 30-minute levels throughout. Late registration and re-entry are available until about 4:25pm.
