The cards are in the air for Day 1B, with about 110 players registered so far. Registration remains open until the start of Level 9, roughly 10:30pm.

Meanwhile, Day 1A has reached Level 14 with just ~60 players remaining from 371 entries. Players will bag and tag at the end of the level and we’ll have a complete list of the Day 1A survivors later tonight.

With the board reading , TJ Shulman (with 15,000 already committed postflop) was in the tank for the rest of his chips as two other players were all in.

“I always find myself in these spots,” said Shulman. “Can’t see how I’m beating both of you.”

After a few more moments, Shulman open folded for top two pair.

The shorter-stacked opponent turned up for an open-ended straight draw, while the big stack tabled for an overpair.

Shulman had folded the best hand, but the river was the to give the big stack a set of kings. A relieved Shulman let out a big sigh and is still sitting on a solid stack of about 75,000.

The $75,000 guaranteed prize pool was eclipsed already as 371 entries took part in the morning flight.

10 levels have been completed and ~108 remain. Among those still in the field include Nancy Birnbaum, TJ Shulman, Steve Karp, Riley Fuller, Scott Zakheim, Ory Hen, Abbey Daniels, TK Miles and Michael Newman.
