Aaron Mermelstein moved all in from the cutoff for 115,000, Raul Martinez moved all in over the top from the small blind for 415,000, and Adam Hendrix asked for an exact count and went into the tank from the big blind.

Hendrix had about 350,000 behind his 10,000 big blind, and he tanked for a very long time until somebody called for a clock. Hendrix thought another 20 seconds or so before he folded.

Mermelstein turned over 5h5c, and he needed it to hold to stay alive against Martinez’s Ah10h.

The board came 9c3h3d8c9h, and Mermelstein won the pot with two pair, nines and fives, to double up in chips.

Aaron Mermelstein  –  250,000  (25 bb)
Adam Hendrix  –  350,000  (35 bb)
Raul Martinez  –  300,000  (30 bb)

Mermelstein’s momentum was short-lived, as he was eliminated from the tournament a few minutes later.
