The ballroom was packed as players returned to their seats but Julio Delgado Comparelli didn’t need to hurry. He’s run his 15,000 starting stack up to 64,775 in the first four levels to pace the field. Comparelli has a few nice Seminole Hard Rock Poker results including a deep run in the first event of the November’s Seminole Hard Rock “Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open”.

Levi Maloney came back with the second stack but dropped a nice chunk to Raquel Abut on one of the first hands back.

Flight A moved over 300 entrants midway through the third level with ten more levels to jump in. It’s a great pace and the $500,000 guarantee should be crushed when we’re done.

Nancy Birnbaum is another successful South Florida player and back in the ballroom looking for more glory. She’s the proud owner of three WSOP Circuit rings and six other Circuit final tables among her $568,000 in career earnings.

Event 1 Day 1A: Best Year for Wolak

$350 Ultimate Re-Entry No Limit Hold’em
Level 3: 75/150

Marsha Wolak (Pompano Beach, FL)
Marsha Wolak (Pompano Beach, FL)

Flight A rolled into the noon-time hour at the start of Level 3 and creeping up to 250 entrants, setting a good standard for the next seven flights.

Marsha Wolak is in action today after closing out her 2015 with deep runs in two of the biggest field events of the Seminole Hard Rock “Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open”. Wolak has four tournament wins to her credit with a WSOP bracelet, WSOP Circuit ring, and Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown Seniors title.

Not interested in resting on her laurels, Wolak is ready to take 2016 by storm.

“This is going to be my best year ever!” she exclaimed during a pause at her table.

Event 1 Day 1A: Climbing Fast

$350 Ultimate Re-Entry No Limit Hold’em
Level 2: 50/100

TJ Shulman (Duluth, GA)
TJ Shulman (Duluth, GA)

We’ve come to expect the smaller flights on the Thursday morning flights. If that holds true for Event 1, we’re going to have a very nice field when registration closes for good on Sunday. Flight 1A has over 200 entrants at the start of Level 2 and 30 minute away from a PM hour.

Seminole Hard Poker regular TJ Shulman is an early adopter in the Ultimate Re-Entry and he’s run his stack up after knocking out a player. A nice result here will push him over $500,000 in career earnings with a big chunk of that coming from a third place finish in Event 1 of the Seminole Hard Rock “Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open” a few weeks ago.

2016 LHPO Tony Burns
Tournament Director Tony Burns kicks off the Ultimate Re-Entry

The next big Seminole Hard Rock Poker series is underway in the ballroom with the kick off of Event 1. The Ultimate Re-Entry event is sure to have South Florida buzzing with a new twist in tournament poker and we’ll have some big money paid out in the end.

The tournament has a $500,000 Guarantee, eight starting flights, and extended late registration/re-entry. The first tweak comes on the opening day structure; instead of a stopping at a standard time, all Day 1s will play until just 10% of the flight’s starting field remain.

Everyone who bags up chips at the end of the their flight are in the money coming back for Day 2 on Monday.

Even if players bag up chips for Day 2, they may play as many starting flights as they wish. But instead of the normal “best stack forward” process, now players will be rewarded for advancing multiple stacks. Players surviving more than one Day 1 flight will receive a $2,500 cash payout for the lesser multiple chip stack. The lesser stack will also be pulled out of play.

A great chance for players to bank a big profit before they return for Day 2.

They will begin with 15,000 stacks and play 30-minute levels throughout the opening flights. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 13 at 5:45pm. Play will continue until we reach 10% remaining and they will return on Monday.

If players don’t survive 1A, the next flight kicks off at 5pm with registration open until 11:45pm.
