After several back and forths, Ed Mallon lost the lead then lost the championship.

The final hand came when Mallon limp/called a shove from Ponte and the cards were turned up once again.

They both hit the flop but Ponte stayed ahead. The turn left Mallon with only two outs and he missed the river to end the match.

Mallon picked up $192,885 for his runner-up finish while Ponte earned $341,420 plus the WPTDeepStacks Championship package.
