The 2024 WPT Poker Showdown Championship is down to its last two tables, and those 16 players return on Tuesday at noon to play down to the televised final table of six.

Like last year, when Bin Weng had a huge lead coming back at this point, Josh Reichard also leads big with nearly 8,000,000 more chips than second-place Alex Queen. Everyone is guaranteed at least $47,500 but the target now is locking up $176,000 plus a trip to Las Vegas.

Josh Reichard raised to 200,000 preflop from the button, and Chad Trentacosta called to cover him from the big blind before the flop fell .

Trentacosta bet 250,000, Reichard raised to 625,000, and Trentacosta called before the fell on the turn. Trentacosta bet 1.6 million, and Reichard called before the river delivered the .

Trentacosta got all in for 2.4 million, and Reichard called to cover him. Trentacosta flipped over for a straight, but that wasn’t enough against the of Reichard to make a flush.

Trentacosta busted in 17th place for a payout worth $47,500, and Reichard made it three-in-a-row eliminations to end the night with a big chip lead of 22.2 million.

The last trophy event on today’s schedule will be action-packed thanks to the structure and fast access to money. Event 70 is a $1,100 buy-in turbo tournament with $500 of each buy-in going on that player’s head.

You can profit early in the game.

Players sit down to 20K deep stacks and all levels last 15 minutes. Late registration is available until the start of Level 9 at 10:15 pm and they may reload as often as they wish during that time.
