Jeremy Ausmus

Jeremy Ausmus opened to 7,000 from the button and Chris Hunichen three-bet to 18,000 from the big blind. Ausmus called, the flop was JcJhTh and Hunichen continued for 15,000.

Ausmus called, the turn was Kc, and Hunichen fired another 40,000. Ausmus called again, the river was Td and Hunichen checked. Ausmus moved all in for 61,000 and Hunichen called.

Ausmus showed KsJs for flopped trip jacks and turned full house. Hunichen quickly put his cards into the muck to give Ausmus the double up.

Jeremy Ausmus – 273,000 (91 bb)
Chris Hunichen – 305,000 (102 bb)

On Table 3, action folded around to Jason Mercier in the small blind, he opened, Franklin Fok ripped from the big for 69,000 and Mercier quickly called.

Mercier: KhKc
Fok: 8d8s

Fok ran into a monster, Mercier flopped the overkill set and turned a boat on the Ks5h4c4hAc board to send Fok out.

Jason Mercier – 373,000 (124 bb)
Franklin Fok – Eliminated

At the two other tables, Joe McKeehen was eliminated from the Super High Roller after his second bullet missed the mark and Jake Schindler reloaded after his earlier elimination.

The second break is complete and action is back underway. Ali Imsirovic continues to lead but there’s been some wealth spread out over the last level.

Imsirovic sent a double across to Giuseppe Iadiserniac while Brandon Adams took the stack away from Jake Schindler. That happened when Adams cracked aces when his pocket tens made quads.

McKeehen rolled over 8h7h for a pair eights then quickly flipped them back over when Arcidiacono showed Kd5d for the flush.

Jason Mercier

We missed the preflop betting action but it finished with Jason Mercier all in from the big blind for 105,000 against Albert Daher on the button.

Mercier tabled pocket tens and Daher hung his head, taking his time to roll over his cards.

“You got nines bro?” Mercier laughed.

“Yep,” was the reply.

Mercier: TcTd
Daher: 9s9h

Mercier was in good shape to double, caught a set on the QcJdTh flop, but had to fade an open-ended straight draw.

“Oh no, oh no,” Mercier laughed again.

It was a sweat but the 6c turn and 5c river were clean and Mercier doubled.

Jason Mercier – 211,500 (71 bb)
Albert Daher – 187,000 (62 bb)

Elio Fox

Elio Fox opened to 5,000 from early position and Ali Imsirovic three-bet to 17,000 from the small blind. The big blind released, Fox moved all in for 64,000 and Imsirov quickly called.

Imsirovic: AhKc
Fox: 9c9s

It was a race that Fox needed to win but Imsirovic took the lead on the AcJc7c flop. The turn was 7d and both made a flush on the Tc river. Imsirovic flush was bigger and Fox misfired on his second and final bullet.

That means we will now have a new Super High Roller champ, the defender is gone.

Ali Imsirovic – 535,000 (268 bb)
Elio Fox – Eliminated

Super High Roller: Rainer Kempe In; Ali Imsirovic Up

Ali Imsirovic

Rainer Kempe was one of the players we expected to see in the Super High Roller and he is with us now, pushing the entry count up to 33. In a very nice run in the past, Kempe had back-to-back third-place Super High Roller finishes during the 2017 Poker Showdown and Poker Open.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the room, Ali Imsirovic eliminated defending champ Elio Fox to move up to 483,000. Fox took a short walk, bought back in, and is playing his final bullet in the Super High Roller.

Tom Marchese

With 11,000 in the pot and the flop reading Jc5c3s, Tom Marchese moved all in for his last 15,500 and Jake Schindler called from the cutoff.

Schindler: 7c7s
Marchese: Kc8c

Schindler was ahead with his pair of sevens but needed to dodge the club draw and overs to knock out the dangerous Marchese. The 7h turn changed nothing and Marchese was sent out of the Super High Roller after the Qs.

Jake Schindler – 65,000 (33 bb)
Tom Marchese – Eliminated

Adams comes in as one of our former High Roller champions. He won the $25K High Roller during the 2018 Poker Showdown for $370,000.
