Wally Maddah three-bet shoved for 300,000 from the hijack after a middle position raise to 55,000. After a short tank, his opponent called and Maddah was ahead.

Out of nowhere, former SHRP champ Michael Ortiz went from middle of the pack to a huge chip leader. He’d already built up a nice stack when he was in a big pot, heads-up with the board reading .

He checked and his opponent moved all in for 550,000. Ortiz thought for a few minutes, slid in a stack to call, and his opponent flipped over . Ortiz quickly tabled for tens up to send a player out and move up to 2,910,000.

The second new event on today’s schedule has a lot to offer for a little output. A perfect spot for those who went deep in the Ultimate Re-Entry event and want some more action.

Event 8 is a $150 buy-in Big Stack tournament with a $30,000 guaranteed prize pool. On top of the money, there is a $2,500 seat into the $300,000 Guarantee LHPO Event 21 added to the prizes for the winner of the tournament.

Each player will start out with their 15,000 big stack and all levels will last 20 minutes. Late registration and unlimited re-entries available until the start of Level 10 at 9:20pm. The tournament will move quickly and we will crown another champ later this evening.

Scott Baumstein looked like he was going to be the leader before going into the second break but that was not the case. Apparently, Michael Johnson pulled a huge double through Baumstein as the clock was ticking down to give him the lead.

Johnson returned to a couple towers of chips worth 1,965,000 and that is good enough for the lead heading into Level 21. Jeffrey Colpitts sits in second followed by Song O.
