Fighting his way through tonight’s WPT Deepstacks field is none other another past Seminole Hard Rock Champion, “Miami Boss” Dan Suied.

Among his many accomplishments in poker, Suied won Event #1 in last year’s Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open for $110,349 and continues to be one of the more popular players on the poker circuit.  The Hallandale, FL native may not be too popular in these parts tonight sporting a New England Patriots Super Bowl jersey but he does what he wants – he’s the Boss.

Suied is among the 47 players still alive in tonight’s Day 1A in Event 12.

Just when we posted Brian Hardy’s massive stack, he took a big hit and an new player has moved toward the top of leaderboard here in Day 1D, Paul Efron.

Efron now has a healthy stack of 5k chips in front of him as another table broke taking us down to 27 players.

Two players here in Day 1D are looking strong to advance to Day 2.  They’re on different tables but sitting back to back from each other.  Hector Caraballo and Brian Hardy are the clear leaders in the field right now.  If they end face to face tonight in any type of showdown this evening, someone could end up challenging overall leader Gilmore Everett’s massive 417,000 chip stack.

Natasha Barbour was all in preflop with on the hijack and Mohammad Siddiqu had her covered holding . The board was dealt and Barbour was eliminated on the hand. Sheddy stacked up 127,000 after the dust settled.

If this pace keeps up, there may be only one person left coming out of Flight 1D.

Exaggeration aside, it’s been a brisk pace in this $150 buy-in as another group of players have hit the road.  Fifteen more are out just since the break ended leaving 39 in this flight.

One of the victims was Event 2 Champion Robert Campbell who when asked if he’s going to hop into anything else tonight said “I’ve been hopping in out of tournaments all day.  I think I’m done hopping.”  Happy trials until we meet again tomorrow, Mr. Campbell.

A player raised to 2,600 under the gun preflop and Allen Kessler reraised all in for 14,000 on the small blind. UTG called and the two players flipped over their cards.

The cards are back in the here in the WPT Deepstacks Day 1A.   Quite a few of the top players who started off the day are still alive including John Dolan, Natasha Barbour and Tristan Wade.

Also testing their skill tonight is the man behind #brownmagic, Zo Karim and “Chainsaw” Allen Kessler.

Action continues on Level 10 with 170 entrants so far in today’s flight.

Just like the first three flights, it has been non-stop action here in Flight 1D.  We are already down to 54 players out the 138 who started.  Cards will be back in the air shortly.

In the meantime, Day 1C just finished play and Day 1E just kicked off and is nearing Level 2.  Event 10 is packing the ballroom and we’ll see who else advances to Day 2 in this $150,000 guaranteed event.
