Event 7: Andjelko Andrejevic Out 13th; Mike Malin Out 12th

Back at the final two tables of Event 7 ($560 NLHE), where the action continues at a steady clip.

At Table 2, Andjelko Andrejevic moves all in from the button for 1.1 million, and Wendy Freedman calls from the small blind with KdKs. Andrejevic turns over 2d2h, and he’ll need to improve to stay alive.

The board comes As5c3h6hJd, and the pocket kings hold up for Freedman to win the pot and eliminate Andrejevic in 13th place.

Wendy Freedman  –  6,400,000  (42 bb)
Andjelko Andrejevic  –  Out in 13th Place  ($11,014)

A short while later at the same table, Mike Malin tries to raise from the hijack to 250,000, but since the blinds are 75k-150k, he’s forced to min-raise to 300,000. Wendy Freedman calls from the big blind.

The flop comes QsJd8s, Freedman checks, and Malin starts talking to her, telling her that he’s enjoyed playing with her and things like that, and he checks behind.

The turn card pairs the board with the 8d, and Freedman bets 475,000. Malin moves all in for about 1.55 million, and Freedman calls with 8h7c for trip eights. Malin turns over Ad10d for a double-gutshot straight draw with a diamond flush draw, and he’ll need to improve to stay alive.

The river card is the 2s, and Freedman wins the pot with her trip eights to eliminate Malin in 12th place.

Wendy Freedman  –  7,800,000  (52 bb)
Mike Malin  –  Out in 12th Place  ($15,250)

At Table 1, chipleader Bryan Campanello min-raises to 300,000, Ray Piccin moves all in from the big blind for 3,160,000, and Campanello tanks for a while before he calls with KcQs. Piccin turns over JcJs, and it’s a race situation.

The board comes Ad3c3s4d8s, and the pocket jacks hold up for Piccin to win the pot and double up in chips.

Ray Piccin  –  6,515,000  (43 bb)
Bryan Campanello  –  16,300,000  (108 bb)

Level 34 comes to an end, and the remaining 11 players take a 15-minute break that includes a color-up.

As soon as one more player is eliminated, they will redraw for new seats at a single 10-handed table and continue playing down to a winner.

Event 11: Zachary “Redlocks” Kessler Leads The Final 10 Players

On the other side of the room, Event 11 ($2,200 NLHE) has reached their final table of 10 players. Here are the updated chip counts with the blinds at 1,000-2,000 and a 300 ante:

Seat 1.  Danny Noseworthy  –  85,000  (42 bb)
Seat 2.  Matthew Elsarelli  –  91,000  (45 bb)
Seat 3.  Justin Conley  –  130,000  (65 bb)
Seat 4.  Zachary Kessler  –  200,000  (100 bb)
Seat 5.  John O’Shea  –  190,000  (95 bb)
Seat 6.  Ashton Griffin  –  97,000  (48 bb)
Seat 7.  Marina Koles  –  31,000  (15 bb)
Seat 8.  Jake Schindler  –  193,000  (96 bb)
Seat 9.  Dermot Blaine  –  145,000  (72 bb)
Seat 10.  John Gordon  –  180,000  (90 bb)

Our primary coverage is going to stick with Event 7 ($560 NLHE), but we’ll occasionally check in on the situation at this final table as well.

Event 7: Fleischmann Out 15th; Pendl Out 14th

Level 34 is now in progress with increased blinds of 75,000-150,000 and a 20,000 ante.

Kyle Fleischmann min-raises from the hijack to 300,000, and chipleader Bryan Campanello calls from the big blind. The flop comes 7h5s4d, Campanello checks, Fleischmann bets 325,000, and Campanello check-raises to 740,000.

Fleischmann moves all in for about 2.2 million, and Campanello calls with 5d4h for bottom two pair. Fleischmann turns over KcKd for an overpair, but he’ll need to improve to stay alive.

The turn is the Ac, the river is the 5h, and Campanello wins the pot with a full house, fives full of fours, to eliminate Fleischmann in 15th place and build his stack even closer to 20 million.

Bryan Campanello  –  18,500,000  (123 bb)
Kyle Fleischmann  –  Out in 15th Place  ($11,014)

Joe Cohen raises UTG+1, John Pendl moves all in for about 1.4 million, and Cohen calls with 9h9s. Pendl turns over Ac8h, and he’ll need to improve to stay alive.

The board comes Js7c2h7cJh, and Cohen wins the pot with jacks and nines to eliminate Pendl in 14th place.

Joe Cohen  –  7,950,000
John Pendl  –  Out in 14th Place  ($11,014)

The action is moving quickly, but the blind structure is actually slowing down a bit at this late stage of the tournament with a couple extra levels mixed in. With 13 players remaining, the average chip stack is about 6.5 million (43 big blinds).

Event 7: Down to 15 Players

The action is moving quickly in Event 7 as they are steadily losing players.

At Table 2, Panagiotis Nifakos moves all in from the cutoff for about 2.6 million, and Johnny Miller moves all in over the top from the button. Both blinds fold.

Nifakos turns over Ah4h, but he’ll need to improve to stay alive against Miller’s 10c10d.

The board comes KsJc8d10s8c, and Miller wins the pot with a full house (tens full of eights) to eliminate Nifakos in 17th place.

Johnny Miller  –  9,300,000  (77 bb)
Panagiotis Nifakos  –  Out in 17th Place  ($8,642)

There is a brief period of calm until a three-way all-in situation develops on Table 1.

Short stack Ronald Brown moves all in from the cutoff for 865,000 (7 big blinds), and Kyle Fleischmann reraises from the small blind to 2,060,000. Ben Zamani tanks for about four minutes in the big blind before he moves all in. Fleischmann calls, and they turn over their cards.

Kyle Fleischman:  Ad8d
Ben Zamani:  AsJd
Ronald Brown:  QcJc

The board comes 10c6h2d9d3c — Brown turns an open-ended straight draw while Fleischman turns a gutshot straight draw with a diamond flush draw. But they miss all their outs, and Zamani takes the pot with his ace-jack high.

Ben Zamani  –  7,350,000  (61 bb)
Kyle Fleischmann  –  1,175,000  (9 bb)
Ronald Brown  –  Out in 16th Place  ($8,642)

Fleischmann moves all in from the button on the next hand for 1,155,000, and Ray Piccin calls from the big blind with Ac10d. Fleischmann turns over Qc9c, and he’ll need to improve to stay alive.

The board comes Qh7s3s5d8s, and Fleischmann pairs his queen on the flop to win the pot and double up in chips.

Kyle Fleischmann  –  2,525,000  (21 bb)
Ray Piccin  –  3,750,000  (31 bb)

That end came near the end of the level, and the blinds have just increased to 75,000-150,000 with a 20,000 ante.

Updates From Other Tourneys in Progress (Events 11, 14, 15, 16)

While our primary coverage is focused on the final two tables of Event 7 ($560 NLHE w/ $1 Million Guarantee), there are still four other events underway in other parts of the room.

They are down to 11 players in Event 11 ($2,200 NLHE), with the blinds at 800-1,600 and a 200 ante. The average stack has about 116,000 (72 big blinds).

There are still quite a few notables knocking on the door of this final table, including Tommy Vedes, Blaine Dermot, Ashton Griffin, Justin Conley, John Gordon, and Zachary Kessler.

Event 14 ($150 NLHE) ended last night with 19 players remaining, and they are just about to resume play at 3:00 pm.

The Seniors Event got underway at 12:00 noon (Event 15 – $240 Seniors NLHE), and attracted a field of 192 players. That number is unofficial, as we are still waiting for the prizepool to be announced. There are currently about 108 players remaining.

Event 16 ($350 NLHE 6-Max) kicked off at 1:00 pm, and the field is up to 161 players. Registration remains open a little while longer, and the prizepool information should be released a little later this afternoon.

Event 7: Campanello Reaches 16M; Chang Huang Out 18th

Now that the field is down to the final two tables in Event 7 ($560 NLHE w/ $1 Million guarantee), we’re going to amp up our coverage a bit and provide more hand updates. The stakes are getting higher and higher as they approach that first prize of $291,087.

At Table 1, Ray Piccin limps from the cutoff for 120,000, Johnny Miller completes the small blind, and chipleader Bryan Campanello checks his option in the big blind. The flop comes Jc10s9d, and it checks to Piccin, who bets 200,000. Miller and Campanello both call.

The turn pairs the board with the 9c, and Miller bets out 450,000. Both players call. The river is the 4h, Miller bets 840,000, and they both call again.

Piccin says, “Ten,” implying that he has two pair, tens and nines. But Campanello turns over Ks9s to win the pot with trip nines, and the other players muck. Campanello takes down the pot worth about 4.4 million in chips to increase his lead.

Bryan Campanello  –  13,600,000  (113 bb)
Johnny Miller  –  6,200,000  (51 bb)
Ray Piccin  –  5,400,000  (45 bb)

A few minutes later at the same table, Chang Huang raises UTG+1 to 330,000, Campanello reraises from the cutoff to 650,000, and Huang calls. The flop comes Kd7c3c, and Huang moves all in for about 2 million.

Campanello calls with JhJs, and Huang turns over Ac8c for a flush draw with an overcard. The turn is the Jd, the river is the 9h, and Campanello wins the pot with a set of jacks to eliminate Huang in 18th place and increase his chip lead even further.

Bryan Campanello  –  16,750,000
Chang Huang  –  Out in 18th Place  ($8,642)
