One For Nelly

Blinds: 300/600
Ante: 75

Picking up the action after a flop of Kd Jc 7h, Carlos Chadha-Villamarin and Nelly check-called 1,900 from the player in middle position to see the 2s turn. Chadha-Villamarin bet 6,000, and only Nelly tagged along to see the Ad river which Chadha-Villamarin checked. Nelly promptly bet 8,000 and sent Chadha-Villamarin into the tank for about two minutes before he called.

Nelly tabled Ks 7s for two pair, besting Chadha-Villamarin’s holdings to win the pot and increase his stack to about 55,000.

Dan Shak Eliminated

Dan Shak raised preflop under the gun and the button reraised all in. The big blind called and then Shak reraised all in as well. The big blind called Shak’s shove too and the three players flipped over their cards.

Big Blind: Qd Qs
Shak: 10h 10d
Button: Ac Ks

Board: Js 9s 7h 5d 7d

Shak and the button were eliminated on the hand. Shak will most likely be back to fire another bullet.

Level 9 Begins w/ 626 Entrants

Level 8 comes to an end, and Level 9 begins with increased blinds of 300-600 and a 75 ante. Play continues without a break.

The tournament clock shows 626 entrants in the Day 1A field, and registration remains open until the end of the dinner break (about 8:00 pm). Players who bust may re-enter as many times as they’d like until registration closes on each of the three starting days.

Matt Brady Eliminated

Matt Brady was all-in from late position on a short stack with a flop reading 8c 6h 3c. The button called and the two players flipped over their cards.

Brady: 9s 7s
Button: 6d 5d

Turn and River: Qd Ks

Brady was eliminated on the hand but he will most likely re-enter in one of the subsequent starting flights to get another shot at that $10 million guaranteed prize pool.
