Yuval Bronshtein

With the board out to the turn and reading AsTd8sJd, Francisco Pardo and Long Nguyen checked and Yuval Bronshtein moved all in for 39,000 from the button. Pardo called and Nguyen folded.

Pardo: Kc2c

Mor Zucker

We anticipated a long process to get this tough field into the money, but it took only 10 minutes to get there. Jake Schwartz dropped out during one of the first hands and David Meyerson followed soon after.

While Meyerson was going out, Ryan Hogan was in a big hand against Mor Zucker. Two of the big stacks coming back.

The flop was out and reading QcJs3d. Zucker bet 25,000 and Hogan min-clicked back to 50,000. Zucker moved all in with the bigger stack and Hogan contemplated for approximately 150,000.

“I’ll show if you fold,” Zucker said and that seemed to seal the deal. Hogan called, flipped over KcQh, but Zucker was ahead with AsAd.

The 5h turn and 7h river finished the board and Hogan was a surprise elimination early on Day 2 on the bubble.

Mor Zucker – 476,000 (95 bb)

James Calderaro

Walking the Seniors Event after the first break, we caught up with James Calderaro doing Caldo things and having a good time. He’s was heads up with fellow old-schooler Bill Gazes with the board reading Ad7h6h9sQs.

Gazes checked from the big blind, Calderaro dropped two 1K chips, and Gazes went into the tank.

“If I were you, I’d pay me off.” Calderaro (kind of) joked. “I’m just sayin’.”

Gazes folded and our 2022 Showdown Seniors champ picked up the pot.

We have 115 in the $1,100 Seniors Event, a great turnout and the prize pool is over $100K and moving up.
