Event 12 Day 1C: But Wait, There’s More

$150 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 13: 1,000/2,000/300 Ante

Robert Nieto just put some serious distance between himself and the rest of the Day 1C field.

After eliminating an opponent, he is now sitting on 372,500 chips and threatening to take the overall chip lead away from Day 1B flight leader Alex Bergfors who bagged 378,700.

30 players remain as we head into the final level of the evening.

Event 12 Day 1C: Four Tables Left

$150 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 12: 800/1,600/200 Ante

Players continue to drop at a steady pace in the last flight of the evening in Event 12.  The field has now shrunk to 36 players halfway through Level 12.

It brings in the possibility that the flight could end early.  The flight plays down to the end of Level 14 or 10% of the field which would be 22 players.  Day 1B ended slightly early during Level 14 and this group could be on the road to the same fate.

We’ll see where tonight’s flight finishes in around 90 minutes – or less.

Event 12 Day 1C: Hard Charging Contenders

$150 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 11: 600/1,200/200 Ante

Two more players are throwing their hats in the ring to lead tonight’s flight.

Tim Myers has pushed himself all the way up to 180,000 chips to rival some of the other big stacks in the room.  Sonny Quach has also raked in a few chips of his own and is now up to 146,000.

Both hope to hang on and reach Day 2 as the field has now fallen down to 45 players as Level 11 continues.

Event 12 Day 1C: Familiar Face-Off

$150 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 10: 500/1,000/100 Ante

Two of the most recognizable players at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino are staring at each other across the table here in tonight’s flight.

Lois Bovit is in the house and joining her at the table is Robert Campbell.  Bovit is getting the best of it right now with 58,500 chips while Campbell is looking to get on track holding onto 22,600.

But both are still standing as the field is now down to 54 players and dropping fast as play continues here in the ballroom this evening.

Event 12 Day 1C: Lin And Singh Clear Six Figures

$150 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 9: 400/800/100 Ante

Don’t blink – things can go pretty fast sometimes.

Dong Lin just won a huge hand taking him up to 122,400 chips.  But it’s not enough for the chip lead.  That now belongs to series double-champion Raminder Singh.

Singh has stormed out since the break and is now up to 127,000 chips as he looks to complete the unprecedented feat of winning three championships in the series.

63 players remain as we continue on here in Day 1C.

Event 12 Day 1C: Got Chips?

$150 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 9: 400/800/100 Ante

The players have returned from break and we found some of the chip leaders in the flight.  Ironically, there are two sets of big stacks sitting right next to each other and two of them even have the same last name.

Dalis Gomez and Dong Lin are side-by-side on one table with Gomez at 72,000 chips and Lin at 67,700.  At another table, Hagai Stein and Marcus Stein are also teamed up with Marcus at 78,000 and Hagai at 75,000.

All four will look to continue to try to reach Day 2 as play continues here in Day 1C.

Event 12 Day 1C: When One Title Is Not Enough

$150 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 8: 300/600/75 Ante

Raminder Singh managed to win two titles in this year’s Seminole Hard Rock “Rock ‘n Roll Poker Open” and apparently Andreas Ioakimides would like to join him.

Only a few hours after winning Event 10, Ioakimides is back in action here in Event 12 grabbing a meal and looking to advance to Day 2 this evening.  Can he join Singh and become a double champion this series?  We’ll find out as play continues here in Day 1C.
