Brian Wachs limped in from the cutoff and Ruslan Dykshteyn completed from the small blind. Joel Dickerson checked his option from the big blind and they were three-handed to a flop of AsKh8h.

Action checked to Wachs, who bet 225,000. Dykshteyn check-raised to 600,000 and Dickerson quickly folded and Wachs went into the tank for a few moments before moving all in for just shy of 2 million. Dykshteyn quickly called.

Wachs showed KdQd, good for middle pair and Dykshteyn had plenty of outs with his QhTh.

The turn was the 5c, but the river was the Jc to give Dykshteyn the nut straight and eliminate Wachs in 15th place.

Brian Wachs opened to 200,000 under the gun, and he was called in four spots, including Darren Rabinowitz, who defended his big blind after some consideration.

The flop came 9d8h6c, and Gordon continued for 315,000. That folded the two callers in the middle, but Rabinowitz check-raised all in for 1,160,000. Wachs slipped into the tank, cutting out the calling chips and talking through the predicament. “Five-seven?” he said at one point, drawing no response from Rabinowitz. After maybe two minutes, he called for about 40% of his own stack, putting his opponent at risk. “You win,” he said as he slid the chips into the pot.

At the completion of 16 levels of play, Day 1 of the $1,650 has come to a close and it is 2015 WSOP Main Event runner-up Josh Beckley that leads the final 11 players.

The remaining players return at 2 p.m. to play down to a winner. Everybody remaining is guaranteed a cash of at least $2,780, but the winner will take home $40,308. For each bounty collected, a player will earn an extra $500 in cash.
