Day 1C Set To Begin
The players in the Day 1C flight are currently taking their seats. Another 500ish entries are expected tonight, bringing the total amount of entries near the 1,800 mark.
Day 1B Ends with 144 Players – Multiple Pros Advancing
Day 1B of Event 1 ($350 no-limit hold’em – $500,000 guaranteed prize pool) saw another large field of 622 players take their seats on Friday at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida; and they pumped the prize pool up to 1,253 total entries. The tournament clock shows that unofficially 144 players advanced to join the 121 that made it through Day 1A.
Among the professionals that advanced were Stu Paterson, Hans Winzeler, John Gordon, Zo Karim, Ylon Schwartz, and Michael Rocco. Farzad “Randy” Raji finished with one of the largest chip stacks in the room with close to 300,000. Familiar faces that busted but will have a chance to re-enter on the Day 1C flight that will begin at 7 p.m. include Adam Levy, Michael Beasley, Noah Sachwartz, Alex Bolotin, Matthew Burnitz, Fred Goldberg, and Donny Mizrachi.

Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open Championship Trophy
In addition to the largest piece of the $10 million guaranteed prize pool. The winner of the no-limit hold’em championship event here at the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open will also take home a custom guitar-themed trophy as is tradition at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida.
Noah Schwartz Eliminated
Noah Schwartz hit the rail in an unfortunate way here on Day 1B at the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open. He held A-10, and the hand was looking good to win a big pot on a board that held a ten ad three bricks, but his opponent held K-9 and spiked a king on the river to take the hand and eliminate Schwartz, who might be back for Day 1C at 7 p.m.
New TDA rule in Effect at the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open
At the start of each tournament day the staff here at the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open has announced to the players that a new rule is in effect that was established at the recent Poker Tournament Directors Association summit. The new rule stipulates that a player’s hand will be dead for a hand if they are not in their seat for the FIRST card dealt to the table.
