The player in the cutoff opened to 225,000, and Perry Shiao three-bet to 575,000 on the button. Mike Poss called in the big blind, the cutoff folded out of the way, and it was heads-up to the flop.

It came AdTd7d. Poss checked, Shiao continued for 470,000, and Poss check-raised all in for just about 1,000,000 total. Shiao called the remainder to put his opponent at risk.

Shiao: 9d9c
Poss: AcQc

The 8c on the turn gave Shiao a straight draw in addition to his flush draw, and the Jc river filled that straight. He clapped his hands together in celebration and let out a quiet, “Let’s f***ing go,” under his breath.

Shiao won the pot with a jack-high straight, surging toward the top of the leaderboard and eliminating Poss in the process.

Perry Shiao – 4,725,000 (59 bb)
Mike Poss – Eliminated in 42nd place ($3,688)

Event 1: Scheduling Notes

$360 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 29: 40,000/80,000 with a 10,000 Ante
Players Remaining: 45 of 5,018

The staff has determined that play will conclude tonight at 3:00 AM or when the field is reduced to 27 players, whichever comes first. The latter half of that plan seems optimistic at this stage, so it’s likely that the bags will come out with four tables still in play once the hard-stop hour is reached.

Event 1: Ball All Day (Until You’re Eliminated)

Level 29: 40,000/80,000 with a 10,000 Ante
Players Remaining: 45 of 5,018

Jonathan “ballallday12” Hilton was just eliminated in 49th place, and a moment later, the field was further reduced to the final five tables. Hilton, a pro from Tennessee, is an online poker hero and a bracelet-winning live poker millionaire, and this result was his first in-the-money finish at Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood.

Just 45 players remain.

Event 1: The One Percent

$360 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 29: 40,000/80,000 with a 10,000 Ante
Players Remaining: 50 of 5,018

From the starting field of more than 5,000 entries, just 50 players remain in contention for the title in Event 1 and the top prize of more than $230,000. The remaining one percent of the field is now guaranteed to earn at least $3,387.

Allan Bieler still leads with close to 6,000,000 chips, though Rafael Reis has narrowed the gap over the past few orbits.

Allan Bieler (Ft. Lauderdale, FL)
Allan Bieler (Ft. Lauderdale, FL)

Allan Bieler was the primary beneficiary of David Prociak’s fall from grace during the last level, and he returned from break in second place overall. He wasted no time moving his name to the top of the leaderboard, though.

In one of the first hands of the new level, the under-the-gun player opened to 120,000, and Bieler three-bet to 305,000 in the cutoff. Daniel Wilson four-bet shoved for 1,425,000 total from the small blind, the initial raiser folded, and Bieler called to put his opponent at risk.

Bieler: JsJh
Wilson: 9c9d

The board ran out KhQd5dAdAs, and Bieler won the knockout pot with aces and jacks to take the chip lead. Wilson was eliminated after outlasting nearly 99 percent of the field.

Allan Bieler – 5,950,000 (99 bb)
Daniel Wilson – Eliminated in 59th place ($3,116)

Here’s the top of the leaderboard as the new level begins:

Rafael Reis – 4,325,000 (72 bb)
Allan Bieler – 4,275,000 (71 bb)

David Prociak (Winter Park, FL)
David Prociak (Winter Park, FL)

Just about an hour ago, David Prociak won a big pot from Chino Rheem to move up to about 4,500,000 and into the overall chip lead. Now, Prociak has just a few crumbs left in front of him.

First, Allan Bieler made fours full with pocket fours, doubling up through Prociak and stealing the chip lead away in a huge pot. A few hands later, Prociak slipped further.

On a Kc9c6c flop, Perry Shiao checked from the big blind with two opponents behind him. Prociak bet 245,000 into a pot of nearly 500,000, and Aleksandr Gorelik raised all in for 1,210,000 total in position. Shiao tanked and folded, but Prociak called with a similar stack to put Gorelik at risk.

Prociak: QcJd (combo draw)
Gorelik: 6s6d (set of sixes)

Prociak could find no help on the 3s turn or 7d river, dropping another big pot. He thought he was eliminated, but insult was added to his injury as he received a rebate of just 90,000 chips after paying off the double.

David Prociak – 90,000 (2 bb)

Event 1: Dustin Murphy Up and Coming

$360 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 27: 25,000/50,000 with a 10,000 Ante
Players Remaining: 69 of 5,018

Dustin Murphy (Port Charlotte, FL)
Dustin Murphy (Port Charlotte, FL)

Dustin Murphy opened to 110,000 in the cutoff, and Ted McNamara three-bet to 250,000 in the small blind. Murphy called.

The flop was Ks6c2c. McNamara continued with a repeat bet of 250,000, and Murphy called. The turn was the 5d. McNamara checked, and a bet of 525,000 from Murphy was enough to draw a fold and earn him the pot.

Murphy is an up-and-coming young pro from Florida, making his home in Port Charlotte. He has about $150,000 in career tournament earnings, including one victory and a handful of near misses. He knows how to navigate these big fields, too; Murphy finished as the runner-up from a field of nearly 3,000 in the big re-entry event held here in July of last year.

Dustin Murphy – 2,700,000 (54 bb)

Event 1: Chino Rheem Gets a Shove Through

$360 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 26: 20,000/40,000 with a 5,000 Ante
Players Remaining: 93 of 5,018

Chino Rheem just lost a big pot to drop down to 250,000 and into the danger zone with barely more than five big blinds. He moved them all in from early position in the next hand, and action folded around to the big blind, who squeezed his cards and froze.

“Give him, like, eight-three,” Rheem pleaded.

The big blind laughed and said something quietly under his breath.

“You have exactly that?” Rheem deciphered. “You have eight-three?! All right. If I told you I didn’t look at my cards, would you believe me?” The big blind nodded. “I didn’t,” Rheem said. “That’s fair since you have eight-three.”

The big blind nodded again, then stared up at the ceiling as he appeared to be doing some math in his head. “I’m suited, man…,” he said. Eventually, he folded, flashing the 8d, and Rheem chose not to look at his own cards as he returned them to the dealer face-down.

Rheem is still in push/fold mode, but the first one has gotten through, at least.

Chino Rheem – 350,000 (9 bb)
