$3,500 Seminole Hard Rock RRPO Championship
Level 5: 150/300 with a 50 Ante
Flight A Entrants: 292

Brandon Adams opened to 800 under the gun, sparking significant action. Darryll Fish called next to act, and the player behind him three-bet to 2,100. The cutoff and big blind both called, as did Adams. Fish snuck in a four-bet to 8,800 from the back, though, and only Adams called.

Heads-up, the flop was Ah7h2c, and both players checked. The turn was the 3h. Adams led for 6,500, and Fish pondered for a long while before moving all in for about 17,000 total. Adams quickly called to put him at risk.

Adams: Ac3c (aces up)
Fish: QdQc (pair of queens)

The river was the 6d, and Adams won the pot with two pair to send Fish to the rail.

Brandon Adams – 61,000

There was a small pot in the middle of a heads-up pot between Zoltan Czinkota (big blind) and Evan Teitelbaum (button) as the turn card arrived on a Td7c6s4c board. Czinkota checked, Teitelbaum bet 1,400, and Czinkota check-raised to 3,000. Teitelbaum moved all in for 14,750 total, and Czinkota called to put him at risk.

Czinkota: 3d5h (seven-high straight)
Teitelbaum: 5s8c (eight-high straight)

The river was the 4s, and Czinkota momentarily celebrated, before realizing Teitelbaum had him beat. The latter doubled up.

Kelly Minkin was all-in for 8,075 after a Ks8d6h flop against two opponents. One released his hand but Zoltan Czinkota wasn’t going anywhere with his flopped set 6d6s.

Zo Karim limped in under the gun, and Michael Johnson raised to what looked like 1,625 in the cutoff. Ryan Van Sanford three-bet to 4,000 on the button, and Karim folded to send the action back to Johnson.

“You’re gonna reraise me?” Johnson smiled and stared Van Sanford down. “Hmm, let’s see. How good are you?”

“Not very good,” Van Sanford answered flatly. With that, Johnson called the remainder to proceed.

The flop was KsJs7c. Johnson checked, Van Sanford continued for 5,500, and Johnson called. Van Sanford began to cut down his remaining stack as the dealer burned the next card, and Johnson noticed. “Oh, you’re fixin’ to grab the rest of your chips, huh?”

The turn was the 7d, and Johnson quickly led for 12,000. Van Sanford moved all in for about 18,000 total, and Johnson called to put him at risk.

Johnson: Ad7s (trip sevens)
Van Sanford: AhJh (jacks up)

The river was the 5s, and Johnson won the pot with three sevens, sending Van Sanford to the rail.

Omar Morillo
Omar Morillo

There was just over 25,000 in the pot on the turn, with the board showing KdTc7c6h. In heads-up action, Omar Morillo had his last 40,075 chips strung out in front of him, and his all-in bet was putting Cate Hall to the test for the majority of her own big stack.

Hall spent a long while in the tank, eventually trying to engage Morillo in some conversation. “Two pair no good?” she asked.

There was no response from Morillo, but Scott Efron chimed in from the adjacent seat. “You can’t talk about the hands,” he snapped. Hall asked the dealer for a bit of clarification, to which Efron repeated, “You can’t talk about the hands.”

“I was asking the dealer,” Hall said. That was the end of the banter, and Hall eventually called to put Morillo at risk. They’d both flopped two pair, as it turned out.

Morillo: KhTh (kings and tens)
Hall: Ks7s (kings and sevens)

The river was the 5s, and Morillo doubled up into the apparent chip lead with top two pair.

Cate Hall
Cate Hall

Jeff Rodriguez opened to 600 under the gun, and Omar Morillo called in middle position. Cate Hall three-bet to 2,300 on the button, Rodriguez called, Morillo folded, and it was heads-up to the flop.

It came Qh5c4d, and both players checked. The turn was the Qd. Rodriguez checked again, Hall bet 1,800, and Rodriguez called. The river was the 9h, and Rodriguez checked for a third time. Hall craned her neck to eye up her opponent’s stack, then slid out a tall stack of 5,000 chips, enough to set him in. Rodriguez called all in for about 11,000, putting himself at risk.

Hall showed AdAc for aces up, and Rodriguez flashed pocket jacks as he mucked and headed for the rail. Hall won the knockout pot, moving up into the top tier of the leaderboard in the process.

Cate Hall – 78,000
Jeff Rodriguez – Eliminated

Championship Flight A: Jacquelyn Scott Coaxes a Fold

$3,500 Seminole Hard Rock RRPO Championship
Level 3: 75/150 with a 25 Ante
Flight A Entrants: 248

Jacquelyn Scott opened with an early-position raise, and Michael LaRocca called in the cutoff.

The flop was 9h6d5s. Scott continued for 2,000, an overbet of the pot. “Wow, the full two?” LaRocca asked. “All right.” With that, he called. The turn was the Jc, and Scott moved all in for 35,000.

“Wow,” LaRocca said again, sitting bolt upright in his chair. “That’s a lot of chips.” He shook his head and quickly open-mucked Ad9d.

“Fold that shit!” Scott said with a smirk, as the dealer pushed her the pot.

Jacquelyn Scott – 40,500
Michael LaRocca – 32,000
