After 14 levels of play, Day 1B of the $570 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em Re-Entry has come to an end and it’s Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood Ambassador Matt Affleck who leads the final 64 players.

The second of six starting flights brought 356 entries to the Hard Rock ballroom, but by the day’s end only 64 remained.

Affleck finished the day with 310,500 and is the only player from the 1B flight with over 300,000 in chips. William Pappas is next on the 1B leaderboard with 296,000.

Other notables to survive the day include Brian Hastings, Jake Cody, Ryan Van Sanford, TK Miles, Ebony Kenney, Bob Mather, and Mike Beasley.

The survivors of today’s flight will come back on Sunday at 1 p.m. for Day 2. They will merge with the survivors of the other flights and are scheduled to play down to a winner. Combined chip counts for the first two flights will be posted later tonight.

Matthew Wilkins was in the hijack and got his last 23,500 into the middle preflop against a player in middle position. Wilkins showed 5d5h and was up flipping for his tournament life against his opponent’s KsQs.

The flop was QhJs2h and Wilkins was left looking for a five.

“There’s only one left,” said another player at the table.

The turn was the 9h, giving Wilkins a flush draw, and the river was the 8h to fill Wilkins’ flush and send the pot his way at the beginning of the level.

Wilkins is coming off of a seventh place finish in the $150 No Limit Hold’em Re-Entry event and is looking to make another deep run in the $570 version.

Rabinowitz tabled AcAh and was in the lead against the button’s AsKh and Mollica’s JsJh.

The flop was KsJc2c and Mollica moved into the lead with a set of jacks. The turn was the 7h and the river was the Kh to give Mollica jacks full and he dragged a massive pot just before the end of the level.
