Players are midway through the fourth level of the day and they are one entry away from hitting 150 for the Seniors Event.

One of the early entries comes from a South Florida transplant, Neil Blumenfield is originally from California but now calls the Sunshine State his home. He had a few nice results to his credit before he found himself on live TV playing poker for the biggest prize in the game.

As a member of the 2015 WSOP November Nine, Blumenfield went on to finish in third place for a nice payday but short of the bracelet. While waiting for the WSOP Main Event final table to play out, he went ahead and scored a deep run in our Big 4 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open $5 Million GTD Championship last year.

AJ Santos and Marsha Wolak

AJ “Doc” Santos loves to have fun.

“I don’t have the patience to grind!” he half-yells, half-laughs.

The Seminole Hard Rock Tampa regular makes his way to this side of the state for the big SHRP series but now he’s just enjoying himself in the Seniors event.

“Get a picture with me and Marsha!” Doc continued with his standard excitement, while pointing to Marsha Wolak two seats away.

“After the hand. You have to play your hand first,” it was explained to him.

Then Wolak promptly put him all-in after QdQs8s flop. Santos dropped his hand, jumped from his seat, and gave Wolak a big hug.

Wolak is known around these parts as the 2011 WSOP Ladies Champion but she also owns a SHRP trophy in this event from the 2015 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown.
