Erlichman: AcAs
Asaro: 4s4c

It was another big hand in early action and Asaro could not find a miracle as the board ran Qs7h3dKh2d to send him out in 17th place.

Gal Erlichman – 4,330,000 (36 bb)
Christopher Asaro – Eliminated in 17th place ($5,670)

Event 1: Evan Teitelbaum – 18th Place ($5,670)

Players Remaining: 17 of 4,756
Average Stack: 3,880,000 (32 bb)

Evan Teitelbaum

Michael Laake raised to 250,000 from middle position, Evan Teitelbaum (who had lost most of his stack back to Jake Schwartz) reraised all in for about 475,000 from the hijack, Haim-Or Krief reshoved for about 1,800,000 from the big blind, and Laake folded.

Teitelbaum: Qh10s
Krief: AdKc

The board came down KsJd3cJc10c, not enough help to Teitelbaum, ending his tournament in 18th place for $5,670.

Haim-Or Krief – 2,700,000 (22 bb)
Evan Teitelbaum – Eliminated in 18th Place ($5,670)

Following the turn of a QcQd10d6h board, Hunter Ritchie was all in for about 800,000 with Qx4x from the button against Nancy Thomas in the small blind with Qh8d.

The river was the 8s, giving Thomas queens fill of eights to eliminate Ritchie in 19th place.

Nancy Thomas – 4,150,000 (41 bb)
Hunter Ritchie – Eliminated in 19th Place ($4,050)

Teitelbaum was ahead for the double and it stayed that way as the dealer ran out the Ts7h2h5sTc board.

Evan Teitelbaum – 2,330,000 (23 bb)
Jake Schwartz – 3,200,000 (32 bb)

Players Remaining: 19 of 4,756
Average Stack: 3,470,000 (34 bb)

Jason Wandling

It didn’t take much effort for Victor Figueroa and Jason Wandling to get their chips in the middle when they both were dealt a monster, Figueroa’s in the cutoff and Wandling in the small blind.

Figueroa: KcKh
Wandling: AcAs

Wandling was at risk but dominating until the dealer put a king in the window on the Ks9s5c flop. That got Figueroa out of his seat as the Td turn and 7s river sent him the pot. After counting down Wandling’s stack, they confirmed Figueroa had Wandling covered and he was sent out in 20th place.

Victor Figueroa – 7,900,000 (79 bb)
Jason Wandling – Eliminated in 20th place ($4,050)

SHRP team member Michael Laake among 22 remaining in Ultimate Re-Entry

After eight starting flights and a long Day 2 grind, Event 1 returns for an extra day of poker with 22 still shooting for the Ultimate Re-Entry title.

Day 2 began with 387 players and they were already in the money at the start of the day then quickly played down throughout the afternoon. By late evening, the average stack was near 50 big blinds and action slowed to a crawl as they began approaching the big money.

Plenty of top players and local regulars remain including Jake Schwartz, Victor Figueroa, Evan Teitelbaum, Nancy Thomas, Marcus Stein, Steven McKoy, 2016 WSOP November Niner Jerry Wong, and Seminole Hard Rock Poker team member Michael Laake.

Fabio Pereira leads the way at the restart with McKoy not far behind while Teitelbaum, Jimmy Cortes, Christopher Arcidiacono, Alan Wentz, and Gal Erlichman return to sub-20 big blind stacks.

Event 1 will kick back off at 2pm and we’ll be here with all the action as someone tries to walk away with a quarter of a million dollars.
