Alexander Orlov

With the money bubble bursting at the start of the level, the final eight players are all in the money and one elimination away from a redraw to the unofficial final table.

Everybody is now guaranteed at least $620, but Alexander Orlov is looking for his third final table of the series. He finished third in the $360 pot limit Omaha and fourth in the $360 pot limit Omaha 8 or better.

This is his first cash in a no limit hold’em. event. In a prior hand, he raised to 4,200 from under the gun and the player in the small blind called.

The flop was Qh7c4h and the small blind checked. Orlov bet 4,200 and the small blind check-raised to 12,000. Orlov folded and the small blind took the pot.

Alexnader Orlov – 65,000

The Six-Max event is getting close to the money and they are down to the last two tables with eight getting paid.

James Salmon was in danger of missing his spot in the last 12 when he was all in for 19,200 with 6c6s against AdQc. He was racing then fell behind on the As5s2d flop, but the smile came back on the set-giving 6d turn. Salmon doubled while there was something going on at the next table.

Daniel Pearlman was all in and good shape with AsTd against QhJh. He faded the 7h5d4d flop but was sent out in 13th after the turn came Qd.

Wally Maddah

Registration is now closed on the Six-Max event as cards go back in the air after the break. The clock shows 60 entries for a nice short-handed field that will award a trophy later this evening.

With only a single re-entry option, the chip stacks did not swell like we’re used to seeing. Mike Miguel continues to lead with 65,500 with other notables like Ismail Patel (40,000), Eric Rivkin (37,000), Wally Maddah (19,500), and James Salmon (14,500) still vying for the top spot.

Eric Rivkin

Only ten minutes remain in Level 8 of the Six-Max event and time is running out for anyone who would like a shot at this one-day trophy event. The 56 entries in the single re-entry tournament already tops the 54 from last year and it will climb a bit more before shutting down.

Some recent additions include Eric Rivkin, John DePersio, Daniel Pearlman, and Raminder Singh.

Mike Miguel

The Six-Max field went on their first break of the day and the field count is nearing 50 with four more levels worth of play before registration closes down. The single re-entry seems to be slowing people down and the action is moving at a deliberate pace.

Mike Miguel made a big jump in the first two hours, running his 10,000 starting stack up to 45,000 during that time.

Top stacks:

Mike Miguel – 45,000 (225 bb)
Ismail Patel – 28,000 (140 bb)
Rafael Reis – 23,000 (115 bb)
Jordan Hudgens – 19,800 (99 bb)
Sam Baumgardner – 19,000 (95 bb)

Solange Lucas

The Six-Max event is cruising right along and sitting with 32 entries near the end of the first hour. There’s plenty of time for players to make their way down to the meeting room for some short-handed action. With only six players at a table, they have plenty of room to spread out and make themselves comfortable.

Seminole Hard Rock Tampa poker ambassador Wally Maddah was entry number 30 and he joined Rafael Reis, James Salmon, and Solange Lucas among the others already mixing it up.
