Complete chip counts will be posted after play concludes.

Event 1 Flight D: 452-Entry Field Dwindling in Level 13

$360 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 12: 800/1,600 with a 200 ante
Flight D Players Remaining: 135 of 452

With 452 entries, Flight D of the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown opener marked the largest starting flight to this point. The combined field sits at 1,690 entries putting the prize pool at $507,000 and growing.

Karl Manouchakian

Now deep into the structure, many of Flight D’s entries have hit the rail while a select few are chipping up nicely. Among those working their way to the top of the counts is Tampa’s Karl Manouchakian. Manouchakian is a regular on the west side of the state and often heads east during major series here in Hollywood. Manouchakian owns numerous cashes and even earned Series Champion honors during the 2016 WPTDeepStacks-Tampa.

He’s jockeying his way through the Flight D field in the $360 and has turned his 20,000 starting chips into 145,000.

$360 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 4: 100/200 with a 25 ante
Flight D Entries: 312

David Bradshaw

David Bradshaw burst on to the Seminole Hard Rock Poker scene following a victory at last December’s Winter Poker Open in Tampa. Bradshaw defeated a tough field in the series Championship which boasted a $1,650 buy-in. In addition to a $5,250 seat in this August’s Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open, Bradshaw earned over $150,000 along with a pile of points toward the SHRP Player of the Year race.

Seminole Hard Rock Poker Player of the Year Details

After Tampa, Bradshaw made the trek to Immokalee for the Seminole Immokalee Poker Challenge Main Event. Also boasting a $1,650 buy-in, Bradshaw ran deep again finishing 15th and pocketing another chunk of POY points.

With three points-eligible events remaining, Bradshaw sits second in the POY. The 10-tournament race encompasses each of the 10 SHRP Championships.

Event 1 of the SHRP Showdown isn’t eligible in the POY race, but that didn’t stop Bradshaw from taking a shot. He’s in on the early action here in Flight D looking for his share of the $500,000 guarantee.

Event 1 Flight D: #TeamSHRP in a Growing Field

$360 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 3: 75/150 with a 25 ante
Flight D Entries: 248

Mike Laake

After a late arrival last night, Seminole Hard Rock Poker team member Mike Laake took the morning session off before entering tonight’s 6pm installment of the $360.

Laake is one of the most recent entries in a growing field. At the beginning of Level 3, the field sits at 248 with late registration and re-entry available until10:30pm.

Event 1 Flight C: Ziegler Takes the Overall Lead

$360 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
End of Level 14: 1,200/2,400 with a 400 ante
Flight C Players Remaining: 83 of 407

Jan Ziegler

Play has come to an end in Flight C with 83 players sticking around until the end. Jan Ziegler ran hot late in the day and his 318,000 chips in a bag are good enough to take the overall chip lead after three flights.

Also advancing were Frankie Flowers (135,500), David Jackson (101,500), Harrison Gimbel (67,500), and Dan Suied (57,500). All survivors will return on Sunday at 1pm for Day 2 action.

Full chips counts will be posted as soon as they are official.

Event 1 Flight C: Gimble Doubles Late

$360 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 13: 1,000/2,000 with a 300 ante
Flight C Players Remaining: 99 of 407

Harrison Gimbel

The field is dwindling down and we are under 100 players for the first time since this morning. A few big stacks are emerging late and we are keeping track for the end of day update.

Former WPT Champ (and SHRP winner) Harrison Gimbel is still around after catch a needed double late in the date. He moved all-in for his final 28,100 with KhTs and found a caller with QdJc.

It didn’t look good for Gimbel on the Js8h5s flop but he made a comeback on the Kd turn. The river was a blank 6d and Gimble doubled up, but he still has a little work to do to get up to average.

Event 1 Flight D: Closing in on the Guarantee

$360 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 1: 25/50
Flight D Entries: 92

With flights of 424 entries, 407 and 407 already in the books, it’s time for the fourth installment of starting days in the $360 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown opener. As is, the field stands at 1,238 entries with another 429 needed to match the $500,000 guarantee. Tonight’s Flight D — which is underway now — is expected to draw just shy of that figure and put tomorrow’s Flight E in position to burst the guarantee before cards even go in the air.

As in previous flights, players tonight begin with 20,000 chips. Late registration and re-entry are available until the start of Level 9 with play concluding following Level 14.

Here are the Flight D details:

6PM: Event 1 Day 1D – $360 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)

  • $500,000 Guaranteed Prize Pool
  • Players begin with 20,000 in chips and 30-minute levels
  • Late registration/re-entry available until start of Level 9
  • Day 1 will end after Level 14 or Tournament Director discretion
  • Event 1 Structure Sheet

Updates from the event will be posted periodically along with updates from the 12pm  Omaha/8 tournament.

Event 1 Flight C: Last Break

$360 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 11: 600/1,200 with a 200 ante
Flight C Players Remaining: 144 of 407

Frankie Flowers

Flight C players have reached their final break of the day and they’ll return to play three more levels before bagging up their chips. There are still plenty of players remaining but we expect to drop down to around 80 players in the next 90 minutes.

Former SHRP champ Frankie Flowers is still making his way through the big field. His sole trophy came during this series last year when he captured the crown in the $350 No Limit Hold’em Event 26.
