Super High Roller: Byron Kaverman Runs into Kings Again

$50,000 Super High Roller (Re-Entry)
Level 6: 600/1,200 with a 200 Ante
Entries: 19

Bryn Kenney versus Byron Kaverman

Byron Kaverman’s first bullet ran into the kings of Jason Koon and his second did the same thing against Bryn Kenney.

Jan Eric Schwippert opened to 3,000 and Kenney three-bet to 10,300 from the button. Kaverman four-bet his small blind to 25,500 and Schwippert released.

Kenney put in 105,000 and Kaverman called at risk with slightly less.

Kenney: KdKs
Kaverman: QhQs

Another tough second best hand and Kaverman never found a sweat as the board ran out JhTh2sTs7s to end his second attempt.

Bryn Kenney – 282,000 (235 bb)
Byron Kaverman – Eliminated

Super High Roller: Byron Kaverman Eliminated by Jason Koon

$50,000 Super High Roller (Re-Entry)
Level 4: 400/800 with a 100 Ante
Entries: 17

Byron Kaverman making a decision for his stack

Jason Koon was under 100,000 at the first break but came back to pick up some chips, then an entire stack.

He opened to 7,000 from the cutoff and Byron Kaverman three-bet to 1,700. The blinds released and Koon announced all-in after a short think. It was Kaverman’s turn to take his time thinking it through before he called for his ~115,000 stack.

Koon: KsKd
Kaverman: AsKc

A tough spot for Kaverman and he needed to catch to keep his $50,000 seat. The dealer kept it low for Koon as it came 3h3d2cTd9h to send our first player out and push Koon into the lead.

Jason Koon – 336,000 (420 bb)
Bryon Kaverman – Eliminated

Super High Roller: Seidel and Colman Join

$50,000 Super High Roller (Re-Entry)
Level 3: 300/600 with a 75 Ante
Entries: 14

Erik Seidel

The Super Higher Roller is only a half-dozen fresh entries away from hitting the $1,000,000 Guarantee and more big hitters are joining.

Erik Seidel is one of the kings of (super) high rollers, number one among all US-born players in terms of live tournament cash with $31.5 million, four tournament cashes over $1 million, and sixth all-time with eight WSOP bracelets.

Dan Colman was already known in the poker world before the 2014 World Series of Poker but jumped to the top when he captured the $1,000,000 Big One for One Drop title for a cool $15 million. In local history, Colman earned another $1.5 million later that summer for winning the 2014 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open Championship.

Super High Roller: Moving Up

$50,000 Super High Roller (Re-Entry)
Level 2: 250/500 with a 75 Ante
Entries: 11

Jason Mercier

The blinds must right because we’re seeing more players jump in the Super High Roller and begin mixing it up.

Jason Mercier has gone from a spectator to a participant after joking about waiting longer. He wasn’t the only Jason getting in late, both Jason Koon and Justin Bonomo have taken their seats in the meeting room as well.

Super High Roller: Taking Their Time

$50,000 Super High Roller (Re-Entry)
Level 1: 200/400 with a 50 Ante

Preparing the Super High Roller room

As expected with these big buy-in events and seven hours of late registration available, the Super High Roller players are taking their time making it to the meeting room this afternoon.

The space is ready and available, players are registered and we are waiting a bit for them to leave their rooms to play some high-stakes poker.
