Brad Ruben took over the lead late in the day and held on to put together the biggest bag. He will return for Day 2 on Sunday with the chip lead at 402,000 but he could be surpassed by someone in the field tomorrow.

The final flight of the Main Event kicks off tomorrow at noon, we will surpass the $1 Million Guarantee at some point in the early afternoon, then lock down registration at 10pm.

A full list of official chip counts will be posted as soon as they are available.

Level 15: 1,200/2,400 with a 400 ante

Brad Ruben

The Main Event has reached the final level of the evening with right around 90 players remaining of the starting 446 entries. Brad Ruben is the most current player to take his turn at the top of the counts with 286,000.

There are several other tough players over 200,000 so he’s not a lock for the end-of-day lead.

Main Event: Paul Balzano Climbing

$1,000,000 Guaranteed | Structure
Level 14: 1,000/2,000 with a 300 ante
Flight A Players Remaining: 99 of 446

Paul Balzano

We have another SHRP regular making noise in the Main Event and helping drop the field under 100 players. Paul Balzano has been cruising all day and pushed his stack up to 220,000 as we near the end of the evening.

Balzano has plenty of success with over $1 million in career earnings, including several SHRP wins and a WPT televised final table appearance in 2016, but he’s still looking for his first big score on the WSOP Circuit. He came close earlier this week when he made the Six-Max final table but did not walk away with a ring.

Valentin Vornicu

We have a new leader in town. Nine-time WSOP Circuit ring winner Valentin Vornicu has taken the top spot with more than 250,000 after a big run that included knocking out Jake Schwartz.

He picked up his ninth ring earlier this year and his most recent big run here was a fourth-place finish in the $10,000 SHRPO event this August.

Igor Terpenev

Players are back in their seats with an unofficial 446 entries into the WSOP Circuit Main Event. We will wait for confirmation but that looks like a solid number.

Igor Terpenev is the current leader with 212,800 as the only player to top the 200K mark so far. But there are some big names with big stacks trying to chase him down.

Top ten stacks:

Alex Rocha

Alex Rocha is another player climbing the counts and went over 100,000 in Level 12. He’s in good position for another deep WSOPC run after finishing in third place last night at the $100K Guarantee $1K final table.

Players will head off on a 15-minute break at the end of this and registration will close when they return.

Main Event: Michael Amato Knocks Out Cuz

Michael Amato

There are a few players moving up along in Level 12 including Michael Amato after catching a big hand. One player was already all in with a short stack, Amato call, along with Steve “Yo Cuz” Buckner in the big blind.

After the king-high flop, they were not content to check it down as Buckner had Amato all in but his KdQc was behind AsAd. The hand sent one player out and put Bucker under two big blinds. One hand later, Amato finished off the deal and sent Buckner to the rail while moving his stack up to 121,200.

Loni Harwood

Tables in the meeting room are breaking in a hurry and it should be completely devoid of Main Event players before too long. One of those players moving across the hall was Seminole Hard Rock Poker team member Loni Harwood.

She grabbed her seat in the ballroom and joined fellow SHRP member Jessica Dawley at the table. Harwood is fresh off a deep run in the $100,000 Guarantee $1K event where she finished the final table in seventh, falling a little short of her fourth WSOPC ring.

David Jackson

While players were on their dinner break, we found a few more stack over 100,000 including returning chip leader David Jackson with 125,000. Hagai Stein is also stacked up nicely at 116,000.

They are back in action and will play three more levels before the last break of the evening. Late registration and re-entry will close at 10pm and we’ll see how close we are to hitting the $1 Million Guarantee.

Brett Bader

Level 9 has come to an end and the Main Event players are now taking a 75-minute dinner break away from the tables. Time to refresh and come back for a strong run.

Two-time WSOPC champ, and former SHRP winner, Brett Bader looks like the break-time leader with 105,000 but we will walk the field while they are gone after the quarter chips are taken out of play.
