Level 26: 15,000/30,000 with a 5,000 ante
Players Remaining: 14 of 904

The Seminole Hard Rock WSOP Circuit Main Event has been whittled down from 904 entries to only 14 players with a shot at the big title. Those entries joined the game over two starting flights and 162 of them returned yesterday for Day 2 with Asher Conniff sitting in 159th at the start of the day.

The former WPT World Champion began with only 6 big blinds but that didn’t stop him from running up his stack early, cruising into the money, and finishing off Day 2 with the chip lead.

But he’s not the only big name coming back.

Sitting in second place at the restart is three-time WSOP bracelet winner Brian Hastings followed poker pro Chad Eveslage and SHRP regular Daniel Genachte along with former SHRP champ Steven McKoy and Brett Bader.

Conniff will return with the lead but it is still anyone’s game. The first step will be forming the final table ten followed by the deliberate march to a WSOPC Main Event champ.

They will restart with blinds at 15,000/30,000/5,000 ante and 60-minute levels throughout the day.

Cards fly at noon and we will be here from start to finish.

Asher Conniff

Former WPT World Champion Asher Conniff has been making the most of his chances since the last break and now sits with the chip lead.

It began when he knocked Jose Reyes out and followed that up against Chad Deberry after he three-bet shoved for 175,000. Conniff called, the original raiser released, and Deberry was in rough shape.

Deberry: AsQh
Conniff: AcKc

A tough spot for Deberry but he found no love as the board ran Jh6d3c8sKd to send him out while Conniff moved into the late lead.

Asher Conniff – 3,100,000 (155 bb)
Chad Deberry – Eliminated in 21st place ($11,201)

Main Event players went on their final break of the day and there were some big hands right out of the gate. One of the biggest saw Joseph Gotlieb and Steven McKoy heads to a 7d5d3d flop and Gotlieb shoved his 500,000 in the middle.

McKoy thought about it for a bit and finally called with his preflop monster.

Gotlieb: Jd9c
McKoy: AsAh

McKoy was ahead with his rockets but Gotlieb filled his flush on the 6d turn. The 9d river put a flush on the board but McKoy’s red ace was not a diamond.

Joseph Gotlieb – 1,100,000 (55 bb)
Steven McKoy – 225,000 (11 bb)

Paul Hebert (left) versus Brian Hastings (right)

It was a three-way 7h6d4d flop between Asher Conniff, Brian Hastings, and Paul Hebert. Conniff checked, Hebert bet 75,000 and Hastings raised to 175,000.

Conniff released and Hebert moved all in for ~350,000. Hastings quickly called with his big stack for a knockout.

Hastings: 6h5h
Hebert: Jd9d

Hastings was ahead with the pair of sixes but Hebert had over cards and a flush draw. The 4h turn changed nothing and Hastings hit overkill trip sixes on the 6s river.

With Hebert’s exit in 28th place, the Main Event is down to the final three table and tournament staff are redrawing seats.

Brian Hastings – 1,890,000 (118 bb)
Paul Hebert – Eliminated in 28th place ($6,929)
