2017 Seminole Hard Rock WSOP Circuit Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, Florida Event 14 $250 Ladies No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry) Entries: 66 Prize Pool: $13,200 October 2, 2017
One day after finishing runner-up in Event 11, Melisa Singh was back at a final table. This time it was in Event 14, the $250 Ladies No Limit Hold’em. Finishing in second was acceptable yesterday for Singh, but she had loftier expectations this time around.
“I was so close yesterday, but I was out-chipped significantly. I was really actually happy to get second because I made a bunch of payjumps. So yesterday second was good enough, but today I really wanted to take it down. I thought I had a good shot, and I did it. It’s exciting.”
Singh bested a field of 66 entries to claim the $4,620 first-place prize and her first World Series of Poker Circuit Ring. It was her third cash of the series, and sixth at the Seminole Hard Rock in the past several months.
“I don’t play that many tournaments, but I’ve just been feeling good. Yesterday I woke up and just felt really really happy, and everything’s just been going really well for me after that.”
