$500,000 Guaranteed | Structure
Level 11: 500/1,000 with a 100 ante
Flight B Players Remaining: 32 of 144

Flight B is keeping a fast pace and they quickly dropped down to the last four tables of the evening as midnight approached. The plan is to play out this level, take one last break, and then play into the beginning portion of Level 15.

Unless they hit 17 players first, then the flight will be paused at that point for a return on Sunday.

Event 1: Registration Closes with 144 Entries

Event 1 Day 1B – $580 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
$500,000 Guaranteed | Structure
Level 10: 400/800 with a 100 ante
Flight B Players Remaining: 44 of 144

The numbers were crunched and Flight B officially drew 144 entries to the evening session to push the combined total to 304. There are four more flights remaining with plenty of time for players to get a piece of the $500,000 guaranteed prize pool.

Tonight’s players will grind down until there are 25 minutes and 27 second remaining in Level 15, the same as Flight A earlier. If they hit 17 players before that point, they will pause the clock and bag up chips for a return on Sunday.

Next up is Flight C kicks off tomorrow at 11am.

Event 1: Chad Freedman Leads As Registration Closes

Event 1 Day 1B – $580 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
$500,000 Guaranteed | Structure
Level 9: 300/600 with a 100 ante
Flight B Entries: 144

Chad Freedman

Players returned from the second break of the flight with an unofficial 144 entries showing on the clock. We will wait for the crunching of the numbers before we lock down that number.

After his hand against Carey Pickus, Chad Freedman is indeed the late chip leader in Flight B. He returned to a stack of 142,300 for the biggest in the room followed by Qarem Jamhour with 120,000.

Event 1: Eli Levy Eliminated by Carey Pickus

Event 1 Day 1B – $580 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
$500,000 Guaranteed | Structure
Level 8: 250/500 with a 75 ante
Flight B Entries: 143

Carey Pickus

As the clock was ticking down towards the end of Level 8, Carey Pickus had two big swings with her stack.

During the first, she was up against four-time SHRP champ Eli Levy and he was in trouble. Pickus had him dominated with AsAc against QdQs and the all-low board ran 6h6s4c8c2h to push her stack among the leaders.

Then before they went on break, she had to send most of her stack over to Chad Freedman when her flopped set of nines went down to his rivered flush in a four-way pot. She dropped under 40,000 while Freedman looks like one of the leaders now.

Event 1: Last Level to Register

Level 8: 250/500 with a 75 ante
Flight B Entries: 142

Flight B has reached the eighth level of the day and we are nearing the last chance to jump in the game. They will play out Level 8, take a 15-minute break, then shut down registration for the evening.

The entry count has slowed over the last level so it will be a race to the 160 entries we had in Flight A.

Event 1: #Ambassador Maddah Comes East

Event 1 Day 1B – $580 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
$500,000 Guaranteed | Structure
Level 7: 200/400 with a 50 ante
Flight B Entries: 141

Wally Maddah

The Flight B field continues to climb towards the 160 entries we saw in Flight B with one more hour to register for this session.

Seminole Hard Rock Tampa poker ambassador Wally Maddah made the cross-state trek this afternoon in time to fire the evening flight. The Tampa pro does not appear in too many WSOP Circuit fields but he has plenty of success in his home state. Maddah also picked up a nice win this summer in Vegas when he won a daily Deep Stack event at the Rio during the WSOP for nearly $20,000.

Event 1: Vinny Moscati Looking for Florida Ring

Event 1 Day 1B – $580 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
$500,000 Guaranteed | Structure
Level 6: 150/300 with a 25 ante
Flight B Entries: 136

Vinny Moscati

With the WSOP Circuit in town, we expect to see a lot of their regular faces mixing it up with our local gang of grinders. They have a very dedicated group of players on their circuit and Vinny Moscati is one of the more successful.

Moscati owns six WSOP Circuit rings, good enough to put him a tie for tenth place overall with SHRP regular John Holley. He’s earned rings in Las Vegas, San Diego, Baltimore, and Tunica and now he’s looking to pick up his first in Florida.

Event 1: Qasem Jamhour Leads Early

Qasem Jamhour

Players returned from their break and everyone in Flight B is chasing SHR poker regular Qasem Jamhour. He pushed his 12,000 starting stack up to 68,000 in the first two hours and returns to a very nice 340 big blinds at this point.

Top stacks:
Qasem Jamhour – 68,000 (340 bb)
