Qartomy: AcTc
Serock: 6h6c

Qartomy had two suited over cards to stay in the game and paired the AdKhJh flop. The 8c turn and Ah river were safe for Qartomy and he doubled up.

Daria Feshchenko and David Guay were heads up and the board was reading Qs9c4h2c with Feshchenko in early position and Guay in the small blind. He checked, Feshchenko bet 25,000 and Guay check-raised enough to put Feshchenko all in for her last 33,000.

She thought for a minute and called at risk.

Feshchenko: KhQc
Guay: AdQh

Both had top pair but Feshchenko was outkicked and in trouble. The board finished with the Jd river and she was eliminated.

David Guay – 220,000 (73 bb)

Ajay Gnanasabambanthan had the second biggest stack to start the day but found himself with a short stack after the first break. Action folded to him in the small blind and he moved all in to get a quick call from David Bradshaw in the big.

Gnanasabambanthan: AdTh
Bradshaw: QsQh

Gnanasabambantha was dominated, paired his ten on the KsTd5h flop, but could not improve on the 2d turn or 5s river to exit short of the money.

Ajay Gnanasabambanthan – Eliminated

Players Remaining: 235 of 898

Loni Harwood

We had a new chip leader at break and it’s a familiar face. Loni Harwood is once again leading one of our big events and her 484,500 puts her in contention for another title.

Harwood has plenty of success in the game and she’s trying to add her first WPT title to go along with her two WSOP bracelets and five WSOP Circuit rings.

Championship Day 2: Daria Feshchenko Doubles Through Roman Korenev

Feshchenko: AhTd
Korenev: 8s8h

Feshchenko had two over cards and the Ac5d5s flop put her ahead for the double. The board finished 7c turn and 6h river to keep her in the Championship.

Matt Millisor

Matt Millisor is an interesting story as we crawl towards the money bubble. He went on break with a 120,000 but at one point he was out of the room, thinking he was eliminated.

Millisor lost a big pot and he was already walking away when they discovered he won a side pot for 2,000. A single big blind, no ante. He was tracked down, returned to his seat, and ran that all the way up to 120,000.

Players Remaining: 261 of 898

Josh Cranfill

After an open and Joey Couden raise, Josh Cranfill moved all in from the button for 61,000. The original raiser folded and Couden called after a quick think.

Couden: JhJs
Cranfill: AhKs

Cranfill needed help but it was Couden improving on the Jc6s5d flop. Cranfill was drawing thin and the 9c turn locked up the hand for Couden.

We were happy to have Josh back in the Hard Rock Event Center. He’s been busy as a fundraiser and advocate for those with muscular dystrophy.

Joey Couden – 245,000 (123 bb)
Josh Cranfill – Eliminated
