Ivan Deyra was eliminated in 16th place and Mark Fisher was eliminated in 15th to leave the field with 14 players.

Ray Qartomy moved all in for 23,000 from under the gun and Will Givens moved all in on the button for much more. The blinds got out of the way and the cards were tabled.

Chad Eveslage moved all in on the button for about 40,000 and Scott Efron called all in out of the small blind for about 30,000.

Efron showed Ah2d and was in the lead against Eveslage’s QhTd.

When players returned from dinner at the start of level 11, registration closed for the $5,000 no-limit hold’em. The event drew 95 entries, which generated a prize pool of $451,250, which nearly doubled the guarantee.

The top 12 spots will finish in the money with a min-cash worth $11,290 and the eventual winner taking home $143,159. About halfway through level 13, the field is just five spots away from making the money.

Stanley Lee opened from late position, Ray Qartomy called, and Ian O’Hara shoved for 15,700 from the small blind. Lee called and it was off to the races. O’Hara tabled 6c6s against Lee’s AcKd.

The board came KhQs8sQc9h and Lee flopped a king to eliminate O’Hara. Lee is currently among the chip leaders.

It was the biggest buy-in on the 2018 Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open schedule and the players turned out early and often. Late in Level 5, the $5,000 buy-in eight-handed event cracked 53 entries busting the tournament’s $250,000 guarantee. As is, the field sits at 54 entries with a $256,500 prize pool. Registration and re-entry is available all the way until 6:10pm and the number will only grow between now and then.

The river was the 2d, O’Rourke checked for a third time and Altman barreled 3,800. O’Rourke quickly called and Altman tabled 10s9d for a failed bluff attempt.
