Total Entries: 24

With the board complete and reading 6c5h2d3s9h, Giuseppe Iadisernia checked from the hijack and Brian Green bet 17,000. Iadisernia check-raised to 50,000 and Green took his time to think it through. He had ~80,000 behind and thought for a minute before putting in the calling chips.

Iadisernia seemed reluctant to show and ended up tabling AdKd. Green quickly flipped over 9c8c for top pair and the pot.

Brian Green – 206,000
Giuseppe Iadisernia – 93,000

The field jumped up another entry with the addition of Lazaro Hernandez.

Cliff Josephy

With the board complete and reading KcQc3cJd6s, a small pot turned into a big one when Chance Kornuth put out a 100K bet. Enough to put Cliff Josephy at risk if he called. And he did.

Kornuth: 6c4c
Josephy: AsTc

Josephy turned a Broadway straight but it was second best to Kornuth’s flopped flush.

Josephy was sent out, then bought right back into the High Roller. Jonathan Little took a seat along with Olivier Busquet taking another shot.

Chance Kornuth – 251,000
Cliff Josephy – Eliminated

Olivier Busquet

While Paul Domb was being sent out on Table 78, Olivier Busquet and Chance Kornuth were in it on Table 80. Busquet’s chips went in with king/jack on a jack-high board against Kornuth’s open-ended straight draw. It hit on the river and Busquet was sent to the rail on the heels of Domb.

Domb hit the re-entry desk but we’re waiting to see if Busquet does the same.

Chance Kornuth – 190,000

Paul Domb

In a subtly subdued hand, Paul Domb and Lance Steinberg didn’t get all the chips mixed up until the board was complete.

A river ace gave Domb a wheel but it made a Broadway straight for Steinberg to send Domb out early.

Lance Steinberg – 185,000

Ari Engel

Two fresh faces took seats in the High Roller. Ari Engel won his entry via a satellite the night before the series but was probably hoping he didn’t cash it in. Engel made Day 2 of the Championship but it clearly did not end the way he wished.

Alex Foxen was the latest to jump in the game and the field is filling.

Lance Steinberg

Paul Domb opened the action from under the gun and Lance Steinberg three-bet to 7,100 from the button. Chance Kornuth defended in the big blind and Domb came along to the Jh6s2s flop.

Kornuth and Domb checked, Steinberg continued for 8,000 and only Kornuth stuck around. Kornuth check/called another 16,000 from Steinberg after the 5d turn and both checked the Ac river.

“I only have a jack,” Kornuth said as he tabled QcJd. His paired jack was outkicked by Steinberg’s KcJc and it was the first big(ish) pot of the tournament.

Lance Steinberg – 130,000
Chance Kornuth – 73,000

Chance Kornuth, Olivier Busquet, Ankush Mandavia, Pablo Fernandez, Cliff Josephy, and Seth Davies were in their seats at the start and we will see who else takes a seat.
