Erik Seidel and Stephen Chidwick

Stephen Chidwick was all in under the gun for about 45,000 with 6s6d, and he needed it to hold to stay alive against the Ac8c of Jake Schindler in the cutoff.

The board came Jd6c4c10sAd, and Chidwick flopped a set of sixes to win the pot and double up back to a starting stack of 100K, leaving Schindler with just eight big blinds.

At Table 2, somebody raised, Elio Fox reraised from the hijack to 26,000, and Erik Seidel reraised from the cutoff to 67,000. The original raiser folded, and Fox thought for a while before he moved all in for 117,000.

Seidel called with a stack of 154K and turned over JdJc. Fox showed AdQs, and needed to improve to stay alive.

The board came As9c7c6s6c, and Fox paired his ace on the flop to win the pot and double up in chips.

Elio Fox  –  250,000  (63 bb)
Erik Seidel  –  37,000  (9 bb)

The next hand, Seidel moved all in from UTG+1 for 37,000, and Sean Winter thought for a moment before he called from the big blind, saying, “I think I have you dominated.”

Winter showed Qd10d, and Seidel turned over Qs9s. Winter had him dominated, and Seidel said, “You’re too good.”

The flop came AsKh10s, giving Seidel a spade flush draw, and Winter said, “No, you’re too good.”

The turn card paired the board with the 10c, giving Winter trip tens, and the river card was the 7h. Winter won the pot with his trip tens to eliminate Seidel in 14th place.

On one of the last hands before the dinner break, Erik Seidel opened the action, picked up a call from Bryn Kenney, and Elio Fox three-bet from the big blind. Seidel four-bet to 71,000 and only Fox came along to the KsQsJh flop.

Fox checked, Seidel bet 50,000 and Fox check-raised all in for 120,000. Seidel thought for a moment and called.

Seidel: AdKc
Fox: AsAh

Fox was ahead with the monster, dodged the 4s turn, but Seidel binked the Td river to chop the pot.

Not long after, the 13 remaining players were sent on their one-hour dinner break.

We will update the chip counts while they are gone and registration will close when they return.
