In the first hand of Level 2, the player in the cutoff raised to 500, Ray Qartomy called from the button, the small blind called, and Gary Phillips called from the big blind.

The flop came 6h4h3d, and it checked to the player in the cutoff, who bet 1,100. Qartomy raised to 2,600, and the small blind folded. The big blind called, and the cutoff folded.

The turn card paired the board with the 3c, Phillips checked, Qartomy bet 4,800, and Phillips called.

Patterson called. The big blind showed 5c4c, good for a flush, but Patterson’s Qc6c gave him a bigger flush and he won the pot.

The Championship is playing down in one part of the Hard Rock Event Center and it’s almost time to kick off the next Big 4 tournament in the other.

Event 20 is a $2,650 No Limit Hold’em tournament with a big $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool. Poker pro Alex Foxen won this tournament last year but he’s hoping he doesn’t need to defend it this time around since he’s still in the Championship with a healthy stack.

Entrants sit down to 25,000 starting stack and all levels last 40 minutes on Day 1. Late registration is available until the start of Level 9 at 9:05pm after the dinner break but players are limited to a single re-entry if they bust out.

Cards fly at 2pm and we will have full coverage from beginning to end.
