Event 12 Champion Georgii Belianin

Georgii Belianin’s first trip to the Seminole Hard Rock is proving to be a profitable one. In town to visit a friend, Belianin took down Event 4 outright on Saturday night for $11,315. Just three days later, Belianin won his second event of this SHRPO series, winning Event 12 outright for $7,815.

“Maybe I’ll play the Main (Championship) Event now,” Beianin said afterward with a wry smile.

Belianin had a big stack for a hefty portion of the tournament, especially the later stages. With three tables remaining he was second in chips, and he was still second in chips on the money bubble. He began the final table as the chip leader and only lost his lead for a short amount of time. In the end, Belianin emerged victorious in a PLO8 variant and captured his second trophy of the series.
