Event 9 Champion Harpreet Padda

Event 9 of the 2019 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open was a $400 Pot Limit Omaha (Re-Entry). A field of 155 entries generated a prize pool of $52,700.

A deal was agreed upon by the final six players and Harpreet Padda was chip leader at the time, making him the official winner.

“This was my first PLO tournament, and it was awesome,” Padda shared after the win. “I was trying to relax and just have fun. Everybody at the table was great, so we had a good time.”

Padda worked in finance and played poker recreationally, mainly back home in Canada. However, last year he started playing tournament poker on a regular basis. He has two deep WPT runs under his belt since then and now has an SHRP trophy on his mantle.

“I only started playing tournament poker regularly last September and I don’t play PLO often, but I think I played textbook today.”

Today at 3 pm we have Event 9 with a $400 Pot Limit Omaha game and we expect to see some of the best try to take home that trophy later this evening.

Due to the expected crowds throughout the day, Event 9 will play out in Salon East across the hallway from the Event Center.

  • Players begin with 12,000 in chips and 30-minute levels
  • Late registration/re-entry available until start of Level 9
