Jennifer David
The Event 1 prize pool climbed over $75,000 over the last two levels and they are trying to chase down that $100,000 guarantee before the weekend even gets here.

Michael Tait
While looking for a few friends in the field, we found two mixing it up. Thomas Gari and Michael Tait were heads up with the board reading and Gari took a look at Tait’s stack. They went to the turn and Tait dropped his last 9,900 in the middle.
Gari counted out chips for a call, saw how much he would have left if he lost, and elected to fold giving Tait some needed chips.

Eric Piderit
The entry count is nearing 200 in the third level of the day they will make a run for the $100K guarantee before the end of the day. It most likely won’t get there but they’ll give it a run.
We’re seeing a lot of old friends including SHRP regular Eric Piderit. When we caught up with him, he was more interested in talking about the recent accomplishments of his son Caleb. He booked the biggest cash of his career last weekend in the May Big Stack Special. Caleb cashed for $15K after a seven-way deal saw him officially take second place.
Eric and Caleb aren’t the only ones in the family with success; wife/mother Tamra made the final table of the Fun in the Sun opening event this past December for a nice payout of her own.

Shortly after the start of Level 2, the tournament had enough players to cover more than half of the $100,000 guaranteed prize pool. That means we can expect a big number with two more weekend flights on top of today’s action, it will spin pretty high before registration closes at the start of Day 2.
