Event 1 Day 1A: Last Level of the Night

$400 Deep Stack NLH (Re-Entry)
$100,000 Guaranteed | Structure
Level 14:  1,500/3,000 with a 3,000 ante
Day 1A Players Remaining:  63 of 326

Day 1A is down to the last 40 minutes of the flight with seven tables remaining. They will continue through Level 14 until 10 minutes are left on the clock and each table will play a randomly-drawn set of hands to finish off the night.

Event 1 Day 1A: Matthew Zarcadoolas Climbing

$400 Deep Stack NLH (Re-Entry)
$100,000 Guaranteed | Structure
Level 13:  1,500/2,500 with a 2,500 ante
Day 1A Players Remaining:  72 of 320

Matthew Zarcadoolas

The Day 1A field is dropping quickly with only 72 players remaining and about an hour remaining in their day. They still have plenty of time to catch the leaders.

Former SHRP winner Matthew Zarcadoolas is one of those making a move, up to 375,000 at the clock ticks down toward the end of the day.

Event 1 Day 1B: Anto Slisko Back on Top

$400 Deep Stack NLH (Re-Entry)
$100,000 Guaranteed | Structure
Level 12:  1,000/2,000 with a 2,000 ante
Day 1A Entries:  315

Whatever dip Anto Slisko experienced in the middle part of the day was clearly not a permanent situation. The former chip leader dropped back to an average chip stack during dinner but bounced back to take the lead again with 455,000. Most of that seems to have been at the expense of Sebastian Sacca, the one who took the lead from Slisko, who is no longer in his seat.

Vinny Monteiro is sporting the second-biggest stack with 301,500 with a handful of players hovering in the 250K range.

Event 1 Day 1A: Goodbye to the Guarantee

$400 Deep Stack NLH (Re-Entry)
$100,000 Guaranteed | Structure
Level 11:  1,000/1,500 with a 1,500 ante
Day 1A Entries:  299

Right as Day 1A rolled over into Level 11, entry number 299 joined the field to officially put the Event 1 prize pool over the $100,000 guarantee. It hit $100,165 to be precise.

That’s a great beginning to the series with two more big weekend flights for Event 1 plus late registration open until the start of Day 2 on Sunday.

Big start.

Event 1 Day 1A: Nearing Six Digits

Scott Baumstein

The entry count is nearing 300 which means we can officially start looking for someone to push the prize pool over six digits. That’s a virtual lock now, just a matter of time before it gets there.

A few more familiar popped on our radar after dinner including 2018 WPTDeepStacks Hollywood champ Scott Baumstein and Poker Room regular Zoltan Czinkota.
