Event 1 of the May Deep Stack Poker Series wasn’t the only big game in town yesterday, we also awarded our first trophy of the series. Event 2 was a one-day $150 Turbo NLH game with a $10,000 guarantee that was easily beaten. In the end, Raminder Singh added another trophy to an already crowded collection of hardware.

The tournament drew 177 entries to more than double the guarantee and put $21,240 in the prize pool. The snappy structure played down to the final table in six hours and an hour later there were three players standing. They looked at chip counts and came to an agreement to divide up the remaining prize pool.

Singh held the chip lead to earn the title along with $5,488. Maheshwar Manthani took second in the deal for $3,690 and Guillermo Reyes Cardoso walked away with $2,177 for third.

This isn’t the first time Singh walked away with this trophy; he won this exact tournament in 2017 after defeating Daren Stabinski heads-up for the win.

Registration closed on the one-day Turbo trophy Event 2 field and it drew 177 entries to clearly surpass the $10,000 guarantee. They combined to put $21,240 in the prize pool with the last 23 spots getting paid. A min-cash will earn $223 while the Turbo champ will cash for $5,488 plus the May Deep Stack Poker Series trophy.

While Event 1 plays down towards a winner, we have another chance for you to win a May Deep Stack Poker Series trophy this evening. Event 2 is a $150 buy-in Turbo NLH tournament at 6 pm with a $10,000 guarantee and one-day structure.

They’ll start with 20,000 stacks and all levels will last 15 minutes. Late registration is available until the start of Level 9 at 8:15 pm with unlimited re-entries available during that time. Event 2 will continue into the evening until we have a champion.

Cards fly at 6 pm and we will hit the highlights along the way.
