The prediction of a big day seems dead-on when the Flight C field had over 200 players at the start of play. There’s a fast-moving, socially-distanced line to get so there’s a good chance we hit the 400 unique player mark this afternoon.

Marsha Wolak is back in action for the first time since early March. The SHRP regular owns a Poker Showdown trophy from the Poker Showdown in 2015 which paired nicely with her WSOP Ladies Championship bracelet from 2011.

Event 1 Flight C: Heading into the Weekend

$600 Deep Stack NLH (Single Re-Entry Per Flight)
$300,000 Guaranteed | Structure
Level 1: 100/100

Thursday saw the return of a big tournament series to South Florida and it was a success by any measure. Event 1 drew 845 entries over the first two flights to crush the $300,000 guarantee. The prize pool for the $600 buy-in tournament is already over $443,000 with four full flights to go.

Flight C gets underway at 10 am and players will start with 20,000 deep stacks. All Day 1 levels last 30 minutes and go up to 40 minutes on Day 2. Late registration is available until the start of Level 9 at 2:30 pm and players have a single re-entry option should they lose that stack. Due to safety concerns, the field will be capped at 400 unique players, once that number is hit only those in the game will be able to re-enter.

It will be another big day in the Seminole Ballroom and we roll into the weekend looking to make a splash.

Yuval Bronshtein Wins Event 2 of the 2021 Lucky Hearts Poker Open After Four-Way Deal

2021 Lucky Hearts Poker Open
Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino
Hollywood, Florida
Event 2
$400 Limit Omaha 8 (Freeze-Out)
Entries: 123
Prize Pool:  $41,205
January 14, 2021

Event 2 Champion Yuval Bronshtein

Event 2 of the 2021 Lucky Hearts Poker Open was a $400 Limit Omaha 8 (Freeze-Out). A field of 123 players came to play, creating the second-biggest Limit Omaha 8 tournament in any Seminole Hard Rock Poker major series.

After nearly 13 hours of play, four players remained and a deal was reached after some discussion. The chip leader at the time was Yuval Bronshtein, making him the official Event 2 winner.

“It’s pretty cool,” Bronshtein said afterward. “Last year at Lucky Hearts I was heads-up in this same tournament with a good friend of mine and we even chopped it, but he was chip leader and got the trophy. So it’s pretty cool to get it this time.”

With more than $1.6 million in tournament winnings according to the Hendon Mob and a World Series of Poker Bracelet (2019 No-Limit 2-7 Draw Lowball) to his name, Bronshtein is widely respected in mixed-game tournament circles. He moved to South Florida in 2019 and this marked his fifth mixed-game tournament cash in the majors since then.

“I’ll be back for the H.O.R.S.E. tomorrow, and the plan is to go back-to-back.”

Yuval Bronshtein limped from under the gun, Claudangelo Beaudouin (pictured) raised from the cutoff to 40,000 and Andrew Edgington made it three bets to 60,000 from the button.

Steve Pollack called all in for 15,000 from the small blind, Bronshtein folded and Beaudouin called.
