Daniel Pearlman (left) and Raminder Singh (right)

Flight A is very close to pushing the entry count over 500 and it should get there easily with more than an hour remaining to get in the game. That is a huge start to the series and way above what we’ve seen in the past for the start of this tournament.

More friends showed up to take part including Daniel Pearlman, seven-time SHRP Hollywood champ Raminder Singh, and Tampa regular Walter Rossi.

Event 2: Omaha Break

Level 4:  300/600 Limits
Entries:  92

David Shmuel

We have a huge turnout across the hall for the Limit Omaha 8 tournament with 92 entries in the field as they prepare for their first break. They will at least crack the top five on the all-time list for field size and a shot at the top.

Four-time SHRP Hollywood champ David Shmuel is in the field and trying for his second Limit Omaha 8 title of the year after winning this during during the 2021 LHPO series.

Event 1 Flight A: Eric Piderit Up Big

$400 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
$1,000,000 Guaranteed | Structure
Level 5:  200/400 with a 400 ante
Day 1A Entries:  442

Eric Piderit

Nobody was running away with a monster stack after the first four levels but Eric Piderit was doing his best. He caught a big hand before the break with AdKd then got his stack in the middle against AcAh and TdTc.

It wasn’t looking great for the SHRP regular but he flopped trip kings on the KhKs3s board and turned quads on the Kc turn. That was good enough to give him a stack worth 69,200 at the break.
