We’ve had some impressive numbers this series so far but today’s turnout for the $1,100 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em tournament went massive. The one-day tournament drew an incredible 744 entries to put the $100,000 guaranteed prize pool all the was over $700,000.

This tournament set a big number in January, putting up 556 entries to easily be the biggest in our history, and then today it blasted that one.

Tournament staff are balancing the numbers and we will post the prize pool and payout information as soon as it is available.

The $1,100 one-day tournament is not messing around this afternoon. The tournament had 320 entries at the start and it continues to grow and fill the room with more than 400 in the game 30 minutes later. It looks like we’re going to set another record.

We’re starting to see more and more players make their first appearance in the Seminole Ballroom with the Championship right around the corner including Matt Affleck, Ralph Massey, Katie Lindsay, and Jon Borenstein.

We have only a few days remaining before we kick off the 10th anniversary WPT Poker Showdown Championship so it’s time to warm up with a couple of bigger buy-in tournaments over the next two days. Event 15 is a good start with a $1,100 buy-in, $100,000 guaranteed prize pool, and one-day structure.

They’ll sit down to 20,000 deep stacks and the tournament runs 30-minute levels. Late registration is available until the start of Level 9 at 4:30 pm and players may re-enter one time if they are eliminated. There is a dinner break at 6:30 pm and they will return to play it out for the trophy.

Cards go in the air at noon and we will be here all day long.
