Raminder Singh had a great opportunity to make history in the $1,100 No Limit Hold’em. He was one spot away from winning the title but had to settle for second place, so close to winning his seventh major SHRP Hollywood title.
But he didn’t have to wait long to make up for it. Two days later he entered and later won the $200 Quad Stack Double Green Chip Bounty tournament for his seventh trophy.
Among the big four SHRP Hollywood series (Lucky Hearts Poker Open, Poker Showdown, Poker Open, and Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open), only one player had seven wins. David Prociak sat at the top with the most victories but now has company in Singh.
A great accomplishment with a lot of time to move up to eight by himself.
Most SHRP Hollywood major wins:
Raminder Singh – 7 wins David Prociak – 7 wins Brian Altman – 6 wins Gabriel Ramos – 5 wins Julio Fernandez – 5 wins Michael Laake – 5 wins Michael Newman – 5 wins 10 tied at 4 wins

The second weekend of the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open is here and today we roll out the next two flights of Event 15 with its $1,000,000 guarantee, Flight C at 10 am and Flight D at 6 pm. The prize pool will easily hit seven digits but the question is whether it can get there in the morning session.
The first two flights combined to put 1,191 entries into the game to leave it 696 new ones from hitting the mark. That is not out of the question for Flight C but it will get there early in Flight D if it falls a little short.
Players start with 20,000 deep stacks and all Day 1 levels last 30 minutes with an increase to 40 minutes on Day 2. Late registration is available until the start of Level 9 at 2:30 pm with unlimited re-entries during that time. Flight C will come to an end when 12.5% of the field remains and they will advance to Day 2 on Sunday at 1 pm in the money.
We expect huge crowds over the weekend and today is the start.

This is an unusual tale of a man who may or may not be a Russian actor, but he is certainly entertaining a couple of players at his table.
First, Jackson Martin is in seat 2, and gets it all in from the cutoff for 10,300 with , and he needs his aces to hold to stay alive against the big blind’s .
The board came — the big blind paired his queen on the flop and turned an open-ended straight draw, but the aces held up for Martin to win the pot and double up in chips.
Jackson Martin – 21,800 (27 bb)
After the hand, the player in seat 1, Anton Kutsenko, loudly proclaimed himself (in a thick Russian accent) to be Anton Kutsenko, a famous Russian actor. But instead of listing IMDB-style credits (IMDB shows a 2007 film and a 2012 film with Anton Kutsenko), he described it like he was starring in poker hands.
Perhaps in the style of Troy McClure (from “The Simpsons”), he’d say, “Hi! I’m Anton Kutsenko. You might know me from roles such as The Button and The Big Blind.”
Then Kutsenko proceeded to describe a hand between himself and Jackson Martin when he woke up with pocket aces in the small blind. He completed the small blind, Martin raised from the big blind, and Kutsenko called.
But he didn’t just describe the betting, he put out chips from his own stack as if he were re-enacting the hand, then pulled chips from Martin’s stack to indicate his raise. Martin laughed and said, “Dude, you can’t touch my chips!” So Kutsenko told the rest of the tale without the visual aid of actual chips.
Martin was laughing at most of Kutsenko’s story, at one point saying that no part of it is true. So this hand may or may not have happened at all.
Kutsenko claims to have limp-called with his aces from the small blind, and then described himself check-calling on all three streets of a board that came . He then said Martin had ace-king, and that’s how Kutsenko wound up with 39,000 in chips and Martin was down to the 10,300 he had in the (real) poker hand written at the top of this post.
So if you ever have a chance to see a film starring Anton Kutsenko, give it a glance, because this guy is a trip.
Anton Kutsenko – 39,000 (49 bb)

The turn card was the , Gross bet 5,000, and Perry called.
The river card paired the board with the , Gross bet 10,000, Perry moved all in, and Gross called.
Perry showed for a full house, kings full of aces, but Gross turned over for a higher full house, aces full of tens to eliminate Perry.
