$1,700 Purple Chip Bounty Pot-Limit Omaha (Re-Entry)
Entries: 77
Prize Pool: $77,000
Bounty Prize Pool: $38,500
November 22-23, 2022

There were 77 entries in the two-day $1,700 Purple Chip Bounty Pot-Limit Omaha event, and 77 bounties worth $500 each.
David Moreno claimed the final two bounties — for runner-up Milos Ivanovic and then his own bounty — to claim victory outright without a deal.
It wasn’t an easy road for Moreno, who’s chip stack was up and down quite a bit at the final table.
“There were lots of ups and downs,” said Moreno. “I came in a little under average, but I ran it up to 360,000 pretty fast. Then went down again, up again, down again, up again, and somehow ended up winning it.”
Moreno scored one of the early knockouts at the final table, eliminating Dylan Smith in seventh place to pick up another bounty. But Moreno’s next five all-in situations had him as the short stack, and he won all five to stay alive.
“I never lost hope,” said Moreno. “I felt I was going to find spots where I would be able to move in and probably be ahead, and that was the case. I never got desperate.”
Moreno won the trophy outright, and didn’t even want to consider a deal.
“I said today I wouldn’t chop,” said Moreno. “Last time I had a deal opportunity in a PLO tournament, I ended up chopping and finishing second. I think I didn’t cash anything else for over a year after that, so I said I’m never chopping again.”
This is the second Seminole Hard Rock trophy for Moreno, with his first one coming in the 2019 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown. That trophy was for a $300 no-limit hold’em turbo event, which is quite a bit different than a $1,700 Purple Chip Bounty Pot-Limit Omaha event.
“This is one of the biggest buy-ins I’ve ever played,” said Moreno. “This is a very nice win for me.”
