2022 RRPO Event 9 Champion Sal Pipitone

Event 9 of the 2022 Seminole Hard Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open was a $600 Limit Omaha 8 (Re-Entry). A field of 108 entries generated a prize pool of $56,700, and emerging victorious was Sal Pipitone, winning outright for $16,900.

This marked Pipitone’s second SHRP major series trophy victory, having won his first at the 2021 RRPO in the $400 H.O.R.S.E.

That was Pipitone’s first time at the Seminole Hard Rock, and in the short span of a year, he has amassed ten cashes in the mixed-game tournaments, including four final tables and now two victories.

Charlie Coultas and Sal Pipitone agreed to look at the numbers for a potential deal, but ultimately decided that playing it out was the preferred route. Each is hoping to capture his second SHRP major series trophy.

Coultas won his at the 2017 SHRPO in a $2,650 PLO event, while Pipitone’s came at the 2021 RRPO in a $400 H.O.R.S.E.

Through the first half hour of their heads-up match, Pipitone has pulled ahead.
