Event 15 recently returned from a break which means Event 16 is ready for one of its own. The $600 Limit Omaha 8 tournament started an hour later so they’ll be tailing the big NLH tournament.

There are 59 entries in the game so far, creeping up on the number we had in January, with some familiar faces in their first action of the series including reigning GPI Female Player of the Year Nadya Magnus.

Part of the escalating stakes on the Showdown schedule includes more money in the non-hold’em games as well. The first weekend had $400 buy-ins and this weekend we push them up to $600. If you like this, the last weekend will have the $1,100 variants.

Today we have a $600 Limit Omaha 8 tournament at 11 am that will produce a talented field.

Players start with 15,000 stacks and all levels last 30 minutes. Late registration is available until the start of Level 9 at 3:30 pm and players may re-enter a single time if they lose their stacks. Players will have a 40-minute dinner break at 5 pm and return to find out Event 16 champ.
