Gabriel Ramos

This is only the second time we’ve thrown a $1,100 H.O.R.S.E. tournament so we don’t have a lot of data to compare but the 46 entries in the game are outpacing the numbers from the 2021 SHRPO field.

Gabriel Ramos and Yuval Bronshtein are here early and trying to add to the history both made on Monday. Ramos won his seventh major Hollywood title in the $600 Double Black Chip Bounty NLH tournament to join a tie for the most ever.

Not long after, Yuval Bronshtein won the $600 Eight-Max PLO for his sixth trophy. He’s now tied in second for the most major Hollywood wins and all over his came in the last 14 months.

$1,100 H.O.R.S.E. Championship (Freeze-out)
Structure
Level 1:  100/200 Limits

It’s the last day before we kick off the 2022 Poker Showdown Championship and we roll out two big tournaments. Starting at 11 am, we have a favorite with the $1,100 H.O.R.S.E. Championship. Players will need to show their skills as the games rotate between Limit Hold’em, Limit Omaha 8, Razz, Stud, and Stud 8.

Players start with 20,000 deep stacks and all levels last 40 minutes. Late registration is available until the start of Level 9 at 3:30 pm but the freeze-out format means they have only one shot at the title. They will take a one-hour dinner break at 5 pm and return to play down to the final table.

Once the H.O.R.S.E. Championship is down to nine players, action will pause and they will return tomorrow at noon to determine our champ.

  • Players begin with 20,000 in chips
  • Levels last 40 minutes
  • Late registration until start of Level 7 (3:30pm)
  • Day 1 will end when 9 players remain
