Event 1: Table 45 Goes A Little Bonkers

$400 Deep Stack NLH (Re-Entry)

Level 19: 5,000/10,000 with a 10,000 ante
Players Remaining:  43 of 767

David Shmuel went from penthouse to payouts in two big hands

Table 45 is set apart from the rest of the field and things went a little crazy after the break. There were a lot of chips on the table and two pots full of coolers went down.

The first saw David Shmuel, Jimmy Tomblin, and another player all get their chips in the middle. Shmuel had aces versus kings versus Tomblin’s queens. The aces held, Tomblin was eliminated, and Shmuel stacked up 1,475,000.

Before Tomblin collected his payout, Raul Hernandez moved all in for 145,000. Big stack Jordan Flaschner reshipped over the top from the cutoff and a big surprise when Shmuel re-reshipped from the button for even more. The blinds wisely got out of the way.

Hernandez: JsJc
Flaschner: AsAc
Shmuel: KsKc

The crazy didn’t stop there. The board ran out QsTd3cJhJd and Hernandez made quads for a triple up. Flaschner was all in for 1,065,000 and okay with collecting the two million side pot.

Shmuel went from near the chip lead, down to 200K, and out on the next hand to Flaschner.

Raul Hernandez – 450,000 (45 bb)
Jordan Flaschner – 2,330,000 (233 bb)
David Shmuel – Eliminated

Raul Hernandez
