2023 Lucky Hearts Poker Open Event 9 Champion Alessio Isaia

Event 9 of the 2023 Lucky Hearts Poker Open was the two-day $1,100 Deep Stack No-Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry). A field of 254 entries produced a prize pool of $246,380, more than doubling the guarantee.

Emerging victorious was Italian professional Alessio Isaia, defeating Seminole Hard Rock regular Mike Chiappetta to win the first-place prize of $55,835.

Isaia is well accomplished, with more than $2.7 million in live career tournament winnings per the Hendon Mob poker database. This marked his fourth cash at the Seminole Hard Rock, after visits to the property for the 2022 Lucky Hearts and 2022 Showdown series.

“I hate winter, so I always travel to a warm place and leave Europe in December,” said Isaia afterward. “I go to play over Christmas in St. Maarten, and from there I come here to play, and then I go to South America. But besides that, I like playing here – good tournaments, good staff, and good service.”
