Event 6 of the 2023 Seminole Hard Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open was a $1,100 Five-Card Pot-Limit Omaha (Re-Entry). A field of 86 entries generated a prize pool of $83,420. A heads-up deal was reached between the final two players, and as the chip leader it was Matt Bretzfield who was the official Event 6 winner for $21,583.

This marked Bretzfield’s sixth SHRP major series trophy victory.

After Matt Bretzfield doubled through Robert Cowen, the two agreed to a heads-up chop.

Bretzfield had the slight lead in chips, making him the official winner for $21,583. Cowen finished runner-up for $21,582.

On a flop of KdTc2s, Robert Cowen checked from the big blind and Matt Bretzfield bet 100,000 from the button. Cowen called.

The turn was the 8c, Cowen checked, Bretzfield went all in for 305,000, and Cowen called with QhJsJd9d7d for a wrap. Bretzfield showed 9c8s7c2c2d for a set of deuces with draws of his own.

The river was the Jc, giving Bretzfield a straight flush to double up and take the chip lead.

Second day of the RRPO series and our second Omaha tournament is set to go at 2 pm. Event 6 is a $1,100 Five-Card Pot-Limit Omaha tournament to juice up the action.

Players start with 20,000 deep stacks and all levels last 30 minutes. Late registration is available until the start of Level 9 at 6:30 pm and players may re-enter as often as needed during that time. They will continue to play down until one player is left holding the RRPO trophy.
